Oh yeah, we are getting Z moves while Zygarde is getting shafted. He died for our sins.
The point is Venusaur would be exceedingly difficult compared to others. He has much more detail in his plant alone than many Pokemon in subsequent generations do in their entirety. The average person would be unable to replicate any Pokemon save for Voltorb.
I'd bet money the average person couldn't look at the plant on its back and then draw it accurately without referencing it. Venusaur is unusually complicated in its design, by any gen's standard. So many frills and lines and other details both on its bumpy skin and the construction of the plant itself.

Gotta get away, away from Z!
Given the presence of Zygarde's new Formes in Alola, I would be surprised if the Z-Moves weren't somehow related to Zygarde.
Blaziken actually looks less like a superhero than the animal it's based off of, the Shamo chicken.
Fire always gets the worst starters lol.
Not to mention that the male and female look different so the drawing would have to account for that too.I'd bet money the average person couldn't look at the plant on its back and then draw it accurately without referencing it. "Overdesigned" does not refer to concept. None of the Pokemon are overdesigned conceptually. I was saying Venusaur is overdesigned in terms of the complexity of the plant (the shapes, the layers, the frills, the details, etc). I'm speaking to its visual design, which is usually what people are talking about when they comment on design. How is Venasaur an overdesigned pokemon lmao. The bulb grows into a budding flower which then blooms into a tree.

Again, Venusaur is one of my favorite Pokemon, so I'm not hating when I point out he's overdesigned. I bring it up more in response to those who say the newer final evos are "overdesigned." My point is they're no worse than Venusaur in terms of a busy-looking design with lots of layers and details.

Wanna say that to his face, hm?
Litten is great. His apparent evolution is not. By far the worst Pokémon I've seen from Gen 7 so far if true.Litten is great, you people are insane.
Blastoise is cool and all, but his original sprite looks horrible.
What is this madness?
How big is the chance these are still fakes? I- I don't want to believe...
This is a weird standard for deciding whether something is overdesigned.

yup, and whichever mod created that poll has a poor taste :<Popplio won
Is the Popplio backlash because of the non-gender neutral design?
How come its easier to envision a female Litten with that form than a male Popplio
Pokemon is a manly game for manly men who put manly mice into their manly balls.

What's so wrong with a something like this? I get that it's pretty edgy, so tone that down a bit. But a fire saber tooth tiger is a million times cooler than some stupid joke wrestler evo.

This. It's just such a shitty and obnoxious design. Why is Game Freak so against a fire cat that stays on four legs? It doesn't matter if its technically not fire fighting, it still has the same design philosophy as the 3 fire fighters that came before it.
To me it seems like Game Freak can't handle many Pokemon being legitimately cool, they need to have some silly element added to them to make them comedic to balance the cool factor, and I'm kinda sick of it. Like most of the Gen 4 kanto evos, and most of the dragons being fat.

First I'm gonna note that I'm no Genwunner and I enjoyed all the Pokemon games up to Gen 6.
I think this post encompasses why I think the final evos since Gen 3 have been a miss for the most part. I don't see why Gamefreak insists on making generally cool starters evolve into some humanoid thing all the time instead of just being a bigger version of its basic form. I love me some Blaziken but GF can't seem to hit the same magic with the starters as they did with that evo line.
Why couldn't the owl become a bigger owl? The cat become a bigger cat? Why does the owl have to become a ranger, and why does the cat have to be wrestler? Hell, the cat could've been on two legs - just lose the stupid belt.
While I don't oppose humanoid start evos (again, Blaziken is awesome), Gen 2's starters had consistency. Gen 4's would've been good if Infernape didn't look silly.
