Nope, they're not offering me antimatter.

Don't have the blueprint.

Are there any waypoints to visit on the worlds in that system? I believe you should set one for you to a place you can get the antimatter blueprint. Otherwise the Blueprint might show up randomly when talking to aliens or exploring outposts, etc.

There are three tiers to everything.

This is just example math, it's something like:

Sigma = 10% upgrade
Tau = 50% upgrade
Theta = 200% upgrade.

So if you have all three you get 260%. If you put them next to eachother you would get a bonus for a total of like 290%.

I just used Theta for everything except the warp drives and didn't bother stacking or wasting space with any others.
There's an Omega after Theta, and then another that doesn't even have a name after that.

Though those probably don't apply to every upgrade.

5th planet in my starter system, more open water and this one has creepy-ass pulsating jellyfish and lamprey-style swimming worms. blehhh

Oh wow. Had no idea. Haven't seen Omega anything.

a have one I think.

Also the ones that have nothing is actually a modifier to alter how the tool works.

Railshot Adapter makes the mining laser into a weapon
Homingbolt makes the Boltcaster rounds home in on your target
Wideshot Adapter = shotgun
Shortburst = Burst rounds

Has anybody found a planet with Chrysonite on it yet? If so, was it one of those crystal things that drops a bunch when destroyed, or one of those massive pillars? I have yet to find any Chrysonite, and it's annoying as hell.

They stack and if you place same type next to each other they also get an added bonus. You'll see a colored outline around them in your inventory.

This is well annoying, Im sure the game didnt tell us that they can be stacked for for a bonus. My jetpack upgrade is no way near the original jetpack and the upgrade cant be moved around like you can with items

Holy!!! What?!
Found a similar deep water area tonight that is cool as hell.. like diving in an Ocean littered with Giger's nightmares.
Planet was about 50% water, but with Toxic rains. A ruin was located near the bottom, my dive was nearly 4 minutes long to reach it. Felt like 200m down or more.

Of note, so far the planet had been lifeless so I wasn't expecting anything in the ocean either... Only to meet a swarm of mini Cthulus (thankfully non agro), but also a much larger worm- shark labelled "Hunter" in his behavior. I stayed way clear of that guy.

Took me a loong time but I finally found a bunch on the first really cold planet I found. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but it was just another surface/cave crystal like Plutonium or Emeril or Titanium but blue. Wasn't until my 3rd system I think.

As well as what other people have said about blue crystals, it's also frequently up for sale I find.

But then I also tend to find that whenever I need something it disappears from just about everywhere. Needed nickel to upgrade my hyperdrive, couldn't find it anywhere so ended up buying a new ship with a Tau drive. Literally 1 minute later I come across a tower of nickel and my next system is nickel asteroids everywhere. Grr..

I've come across well over a dozen planets with gravitino balls, and they're always just lying on the ground. I just landed on one that had some plants that you could interact with, though, and I was surprised when gravitino balls started shooting out on vines instead of the usual pearls.

I've seen maybe 5-6 different "pods" for those pearls, and obviously venom sacs have their own, but never knew other "rare" trade commodities could come from plants.

It wasn't worth the effort having to open something up for gravitino balls instead of just flying around and picking them up, but still kind of neat.

Also, fuck black holes. My third one said it sent me some outrageous number like usual but I'm only around 2,000 light years closer to the center than before. I'm at something like 170,000 ly from the center, and even with 3 warp drive upgrades this feels like it'll take forever.

Do the interactables for the pearls/gravitino balls show up on scan? I feel like I'm missing half of the resources on every planet because scan seems so picky about what it picks up and what it doesn't.

Yeah, I definitely get Wing Commander vibes from the dogfighting.

I've got much better at it. There's definitely a bit of skill to it. Some strategy too, as I find luring ships to the surface of a planet to be advantageous. One lone pirate tried to take me on earlier and I killed him in 5 seconds flat. Bwahahaha...

Once when I was low on shield I blasted a hole in an asteroid and hid in there. They gave up when they couldn't find me and left.

this happen to me, and i basically stuck for 3 hours running around between planet looking for antimatter recipe.

i did the stupidest thing and i dont know whether or not you should follow me. After a total of 5 hours of gameplay running around for nothing, i deleted the save file and start from the beginning..

did everything, warped to another system, and then voila ! the "craft new warpcells" mission is on (never had this before), and then i scan the system, and then a manufacturing facilities waypoint pop up. Went there, destroy the steel door, kicked some sentinels, login into the terminals, and there it is, the antimatter recipe all in just 1 hour of "new" gameplay..

I really can't agree with that comparison, but I'm glad some are having fun. I wish there was a simulation mode for practicing, as failure has a pretty severe penalty.

I'd like to see the boost mode merged with the R2 trigger, where holding down R2 triggers boost. Right now it feels awkward to have two buttons for acceleration. I think this would feel more intuitive and streamlined.

One thing that has to change is the shield recharging by using the inventory system. Going into menus and basically abandoning flight controls while you do this is absolutely a terrible idea. At the very least there should be a quickslot system that recharges with one button press, though optimally I'd like them to allow auto-recharging. Treating spaceships like steam locomotives where players are constantly shoveling coal into the furnace is really silly.

damn I was on a hostile planet with hostile creatures, hostile sentinels, hostile weather (storms every minute!?).... OF COURSE that's the planet I decided it would be smart to pick up a new crashed ship because it had 2 extra slots. derp.

After a good hour of running afraid from dozens of horrific creatures, hiding in grenade holes to shield myself from weather, I have finally repaired my ship and left the planet. The nightmare is over.

Was it a unique adventure doing it?

Sounds like you found my planet :D
I'm not leaving it until I get that Everlasting rank tho. Just two more milestones to go... because it bugged out halfway through the first time for some random reason so I had to start all over again. Would have been done long ago if it hadn't borked it all up. Bleh.

Guys I can't find a warp cell... still stuck in the same solar system.
Is it your first system? Did you check the space station to buy one? If nothing still, fly around and check as many trading outposts as you can find. Use bypass chips to point them out to speed things along, you may luck out.

...crap. Do not all ships have a "leading target" photon cannon reticle? Bought a new ship that had more weapon upgrades than my old one, but now it's not showing me where to lead shots anymore.

Currently scouring a big system for 10 nickel so I can upgrade my hyperdrive and get farther out.

Ugh, it's going to take forever getting a 48 slot ship by just trying to find downed ones. I'm only at 20 slots right now and I feel like 75% of the time the crashed ship is a slot less.

I wonder if I should just grind the units and buy one instead. With an empty inventory how many units is a 48 slotter?

I think Nada and Polo have forgotten about me, haven't run across then in a long time.

Pretty sure there's a bug that causes it to disappear. Happens to me all the time.

Dawg, I'm on a planet with Chrysonite crystals all over. Unfortunately I seem to have run into a glitch where my ship icon disappeared when I went on a jaunt. I'm now loaded to the gills stranded on a hostile planet while I search for a beacon I can use a bypass chip on to call the ship.

I'm still having fun.

paid 63M for my 48 slot ship
I don't like the box look though

It seems like every container and door needs an atlas pass? How do I obtain one? Does it matter that I chose to "go my own way" on my starting world?

I start doing that, still hasn't given me the blueprint.

Studying the trading system a bit more, I've come to the conclusion that each trader in the space station has their own prices for certain items, and sometimes their own "wanted" items (gold stars). But for those items in your inventory which they aren't trading in, they will offer the current price set by the station's trading terminal.

I've been wondering the same; I chose the Atlas path and I think it's a random event, but I'm about to go into my 3rd system and wondering if I missed doing something to trigger it. (no spoilers, but in general is this just a random thing?)

Stumbled upon a transmission terminal for crashed ships. I'm still early, with the preorder ship and no Atlas v1 card. I decided to spend the evening rummaging through salvage. Went from 16-slot cargo to 26. Good enough for now.

In my mind, the inhabitants of that planet were just absolute shit pilots, and that's why so many crashed ships were around. :p

For the last crash site, I had to go in low orbit to get there, because it was so far away. The ship I was in had no functioning weapons or shields, then I got the hostile ship warning. Nooope. Dove right back down.

Tomorrow's repair all systems day, then I'm off again.

What a great little game.

So I've got a 20 slot ship currently and have saved up 6.5 mil to upgrade. I'm not seeing anything over 29 slots. Am I going to have to get a 29 slot ship in order to see higher ones?

Edit: Fuck, new thread.
