I'll be honest, I ain't reading shit right now since day 1 is usually meaningless to me. I'll be playing close attention instead to people who don't vote or state why they are not voting.

Also, I agree with the No Lynch on day 1. We can both No Lynch, right?

I am veeery curious about how the Pokemon Trainer works. Is this going to become a type of faction, or is that how we get powers this time? It could also be interesting if we could get some type of pokemon battles.

Your new avatar is a minor improvement but I'm afraid it's still going to keep me up at night.

By the way, what do you make of the game setup? How many scum members do you think there are? Any idea who the neutral party/parties maybe?

Looks like this game is moving along rather quickly, don't really have much time right now to go through every post. Just waiting for that unnecessary gambit to come along any time now.

well that was meant as more of a joke? its pretty fresh in my mind and its not like you had a real reason for voting me.

anyway,
regarding the game setup, im very curious to how the pokemon trainer/ catching thing will work, particularily with (if i read the flavour posts right) the Team rocket trainers being able to catch pokemon players. like will that recruit those players? does it let the trainer use the pokemons powers? do the pokemon even know who has caught them?
but unless someone is dumb enough to come forward with a role early, i guess we will just have to wait until a revevant role flips, until then attempting to make any judgements based on game speculation will likely just cause trouble
and make it double!

Was strange. Scum!Darryl jumping in for Scum!Sophia? Doubtful, that's incredibly bold to play, not to mention it's early on Day 1 and that kind of #gambit would backfire easily as time goes on.

Perhaps 'triangle' isn't the right word here but after Ty-Sophia had their back-and-forth earlier they were 'connected' in my mind. So having Darryl suddenly pop in to go after Ty it got him grouped into that space as well. I think with the amount of fluff going on so far having any sort of active scum hunting got those individuals to stand out to me and those 3 just grouped together in my mind given the order of events.

Although after I posted about the trio, Sophia comes in with this:

The fact that Ty4on and Darryl are already locked into a debate definitely tells me they are taking this seriously. Normally I wouldn’t think either would be so quick to jump into a feud—Day One when nothing else is happening and no one else is really talking to one another. However, I do recall Ty4on saying that his biggest challenge with being scum is creating natural conversations with scummates instead of avoiding them in the thread. So, perhaps that what is going on here?

Out of the triangle, I find Sophia defense of Ty4on interesting. Especially, after so soon their playful banter calling each other scum. But again, I'm not sure any of them would be so obvious. Unless we are already in WIFOM mode.

To answer you in return I don't really feel one way or another about any of them. None have really done anything unusual , and the discussions they've had are fairly normal.

This always seems to be what people say about Darryl at the start of the game. Just give him a day and he'll make someone cry and say "Everyone tells me to be less aggressive, but then calls me scum for being less aggressive" like he always does.

Yeah, no you're right triangle wasn't really the right word or shape or connection of lines to use. Not that it really even matters. (Sophia did say HI DARRYl but I think that's just a thing she does, but Ty also brought up a Sophia-Darryl combo being too obvious so I kinda made a connection)

I thought being caught by a Pokemon trainer is just the flavor for being night killed. That's what trainers do right? Sounds a lot better that getting lynched.

Sorry about that, I meant whichever way the flip went we would learn something new, whether the person was a good pokemon or relatively freedom fighter Pokemon, trainer or Team Rocket.

Of course hitting town hurts in the long run, but first day has always seemed to me to be a gamble. I'm not averse to a day 1 lynch, I just wouldn't be put out by a no lynch.

I've always wanted to give Conquest a try, but could never find it at the store when I was in the market for a new game. Never really got into the Nobunaga's Ambition setting in general, though, so I kind of wish they had mixed it with Romance of the Three Kingdoms instead, lol.

My boxes are usually a disorganized mess of what ever I happened to catch and then not need when I play, but a friend of mine is REALLY into breeding perfect IV's and he puts pokemon with three Perfect IV's into box three. Glad to know I might be above average!

We would learn the flip of that person, sure, but how do we use a completely random vote pool to use that flip ( town/scum/neutral ) to find other Scum? That's what I don't understand here, your logic isn't adding up. You don't want to risk voting out Town

Didn't mean it was better, I was just giving another method to think about. Again, day 1 always felt like chance to me, so whether town gets hit or scum does is up in the air.

The back and forth between Sophia and Ty4on seems a bit forced, like they try to break their Love Boat bond today and purposely put some distance between themselves.

I haven't noticed any difference in nin to be honest. All this talk of having changed and being a new player sounds like a distraction.

Verelios let's random vote everyone messes up our chance of finding any scum based on D1 vote record. Bad idea.

Darryl's argument against Ty4on can be copied 1:1 against Sophia. They have both argued the same way against nin, while Sophia was even more direct at confronting nin. I agree with Darryl that another "lynch/no lynch" discussion at the start of a game is tiresome and won't bring any benefits in the long run. But I'd go as far and say that this discussion is not alignment indicative whatsoever. I've seen dozens of town and scum players arguing for and against it. What I'm interested in is according to your logic, why did you choose Ty over Sophia?

While reading this thread it's interesting that several players point at this trio, just like I did. Looks like that's the only interesting thing going on for now.

Kawl blaming town for honing in on a group of people early, is a clever way for scum to divert the attention.

Mister I'm not reading should be a policy lynch. I hate that attitude.
