You may have seen the news yesterday that ties Oculus Founder Palmer Luckey to Nimble America, a Trump-endorsing organization Luckey started to defame Clinton via "the power of Internet memes".

In a political climate as fragile and horrifying as this one, we cannot tacitly endorse these actions by supporting Luckey or his platform.

In light of this, we will not be pursuing Oculus support for our upcoming VR release, SUPERHYPERCUBE.

If you are a voting citizen of the United States, please remember to register and make your voice heard this November 8th. Do not let bigotry, white supremacy, hate and fear win.

1. Women with an extreme libertarian understanding about society where people, regardless of systematic or systemic barriers (which they probably contend do not exist), should have ability to pull themselves up by their boot straps.
2. Women with conservative nuclear family understandings about what it means to be a demure woman, etc.

Women who complain about muslims and black people or (keep their mouth shut) while looking sexy are totally okay.


It's mostly a pattern of behavior (e.g. outspoken women getting by far the most harassment) that makes the gendered nature of GG's abuse apparent rather than them hating all women ever without exception.

I doubt it. There's a huge difference between having a view and investing money into promoting that view, especially when it comes to how consumers evaluate the companies they're buying from. The same thing happened with Chic-Fil-A, but they're obviously far from being the only company with conservative social leanings. They got heat for investing time and money into organizations that advocate against marriage equality.

The story here is that he is actively putting money into a white supremacist harassment group, and it is not unlikely that people who bough Oculus headsets inadvertently helped fund this. That's just disgusting no matter how you slice it, Trump or no.
