Looks interesting. I like the various applications of it but I don't know how sharing the mobile unit's screen with multiple people will work. Feels like everyone would be huddled around it super close to see what's happening. Really hope they didn't cheap out on the screen considering it looked poor in some of those shots. My biggest worry is build quality but then again, this is Nintendo we're talking about.

Eager to see more and excited about the games shown.

I don't care for Nintendo home consoles anymore, so I'm very happy with this as a successor to my 2DS. Nice to see Splatoon and Mario Kart ports all but confirmed, as well!

My only complaint is that it looks like and Android 4.4 tablet with iPega controller attachments.

Okay, I'm sold.

Nintendo manages to deliver on a new fresh concept. I'd be very interested in seeing Pokémon on this, as this will also be a handheld device. Can you imagine a non-spin-off Pokémon game on a home console O_O

Hot damn that looks tight as hell! The new 3D Mario looks fantastic.

I can't wait to get a more in-depth look on it!

Looks like it is exactly what we all thought it was, and thats not a bad thing. As someone who was never a big fan of the DS and 3DS, I and very happy that all Nintendo's games will now be on one system!

That trailer did nothing to hype me up... still brings up the same questions. Old games, how's the battery life on it, how do they plan on supporting it, did they actually make an online infrastructure it's 2016 for god's sake, what new software makes this a must buy?

It's pretty much how you would imagine the video being from all the leaks, there was no big surprise. Kind of underwhelmed.

Eh, looked goofy in all honesty. The idea that loads of people are going to crowd around a tiny screen playing games... it ain't happening.

For a first reveal and in the moment impressions...

Looks neat! I think it'll have some big mainstream appeal.

Who doesn't want to play Skyrim on the go?

This might be a stupid question, but the tablet is also the main processing unit while stationary, right?

New Mario finally brings back the full agility! Mario Kart also was a new game by the way, as evident by the two items per person. So Zelda, Mario and Mario Kart NX were already shown.

Console looks cool. Not sure about the logo. Name is fine. The click/snap branding "note" is a solid choice, that will play well in trailers/ads, very distinctive.

Sort of disappointing they showed it off with known-quantities like Zelda, Skyrim, Splatoon and some basketball game.

The Mario looked new, but "a new Mario" might be the least surprising game announcement that could ever happen.

No bald cap? Lies!
Positives:

-Layout, ergonomics and system size look pretty good
-Controller options look great
-software lineup seems ace
-connectivity between systems seems solid
-detachable controllers don't look like shit

Negatives:

-Terrible name
-bad branding
-really bland color scheme/button design(why not continue with that gorgeous N3DS look?)
-ugly ugly dock

Also couldn't help but laugh at the esports Splatoon when Smash is so much bigger in that area.

Why Nintendo why

Sempai Sakurai refuses to notice them.

I'd buy it. The most important thing for me is that you can use a controller that's acutally designed for human hands when it's in console mode

That directional buttons look like the C-buttons of the N64.
I'm not sure they'll be great to play 2D platformers.
