Aww, I don't think I'll be getting my Pro today even if it was sent two days ago. I don't know if I should blame the snow or the Swedish postal service. Dammit.

1 hour to restore my 235GB backup.

MS and Sony really need to include longer power cords. The Pro and the S are taking the piss.

ugh, I removed most games from my launch PS4 and plugged em to my router with ethernet cables and it still says migration will take about 3 hours

Welp spur of the moment purchase for me. Going to trade my old one in over my lunch hour and pick up one of these. My PS4 is loud and wanted a new hard drive anyway. Only have a 1080p tv but feel confident this device will be a good investment.

I'd like to know whether the people reporting zero fan noise are playing patched games. Seeing some reports of loudness in games that take full advantage of the system and hoping people might be able to offer more perspective... I don't think it's that surprising that some games that send a launch PS4 into jet engine mode don't do the same on the Pro when it's not running at full clockspeed.

I'm still at least a year (and probably longer) from a 4K TV, but I've committed to replacing my launch PS4 due to the noise issues. For me, the price difference on a Pro is $80CDN (trade-in bonus for the Pro), so it seems like a far better option... but I wonder if it's worth it if the noise level on patched games is going to be noticeably louder than a slim.

are the framerate and resolution on the vita improved over the standard PS4?

Resolution definitely, it is 1080p now.(which obviously is not the VIta resolution ,but still the bump from the PRO is there).Framerate seems to be more stable 60 now.Played a match of Fifa and it was awesome.

Dammit, can't activate my Pro as primary. Guess I gottz wait 6 months as I deactivated all my devices through the site too recently.

Bummer.

Just got mine and I'm downloading games, but it doesn't seem to recognize my HDMI 1.4 4K monitor as 4K capable. I've tried it with the provided cable and another, in both HDMI inputs of my BDM4065uc. It should be enough for 4K/30 or 4K/60 with YUV420 right? Both are greyed out and I can't select them. :(

I got my PS4 Pro an hour ago. Looked at it, let it get aclimate at room temperature and switched the hdd for the Firecuda 2 TB.

USB drive with firmware update connected and initalised the installation, but I am worried 20 minutes in and at 99% and nothing more happening at the moment.

Can someone please reassure me that everything is allright and it just needs time to reformat the shdd.

Does Rise of the Tomb Raider still have issues with crashing? I got my pro today and it's crashed twice. Only game I've tried so far, starting to get a bit concerned.

Something a bit similar has happened to me. My PS4 Pro doesn't recognize my LG UH7700 as a 4K TV. I can see the 4K resolutions, but picking 'em translates to a black screen of nothingness but I can hear the sound though.

Posted it on Reddit and some say it's a cable issue, while others have other things.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it a lot

I'm just downloading updates but my Wi-Fi speed seems to be the same.

Do I need to change a setting to get faster Wi-Fi speeds?

as others have said you have to enable it in your router settings. My 5ghz WiFi has a different SSID, so check that as well.

5ghz WiFi isn't inherently faster by the way just less interference in appartment buildings because most people don't use it. But the signal gets weaker and slower than 2,4 ghz if your router is in a different room.

For me 5ghz works perfectly by the way. 13 MB/s download spped right now.

Think how many people are currently receiving their Pros and all redownloading BF1 etc they are going to be getting a good hammering right now.

It was mentioned earlier but disable HDCP for the time being. That seems to fix the issue on LG sets.

The plug on the pro is weird, lol. The console is on and everything but I'm still not convinced I plugged it in right. Just seems to be in and that's it, no feedback or tightness or anything.

Forgot PSN downloads were super slow, annoying the trade in deal I used at Game didnt allow for a system transfer.. yay to downloading 1TB with PSN's slow speed

Now the wait to get my KS8000 in 3 weeks

Its a cheap ass cord. The plastic it is made of feels weird. Also its so short!

I switched it for one of my PC ones. Much tighter.

Cleared everything except my saves, captures, P.T. and Hitman (can't wait for that update) and backed them up. Took about an hour for 100 GB.

Picking up my Pro after work. Need something to look forward to this week.

Did Battlefield 1 get patched yet?
Yes it already has a PS4Pro patch available and providing basic level of enhancement. Features are a better targetFPS hit and a dynamic resolution 1080p hit without drops.

I guess EA studies and develops more enhancements for non-released games still in a production pipeline. Currently released or about to be released games don't get much new R&D tricks. It would affect a quality assurance team to rerun extensive test once again.

Amazon Prime delivery man must be having a laugh, it only left the carrier facility an hour ago, god knows when I'm going to get it. If I hadn't saved £20 on it I probably would have cancelled last night knowing I'd be waiting all day and just walked into town to get it.

Consider yourself lucky. I'm on the phone with Amazon right now. Mine was supposed to be delivered today, but is floating around in another State.

I can get it locally today, I wonder if amazon will let me return the console when I eventually get it?

This has not been confirmed (unless I've missed something)

I have a particular question concerning PS4 pro's noise.

I read some noise reviews on PS4 Pro and they seem pretty mixed. I personally am pretty sattisfied with the fan noise so far (only tested FIFA and UI). What I did notice yesterday though when being quite near my unit was a different sound that didn't emanate from the fans. It was more like a subtle but scratching noise. Did anyone else notice this? May that be the stock HDD's sound and is this considered normal? I didn't insert a disc so i can rule out the bluray drive as the source of this sound.

Thanks in advance.

Guys, seriously why havent there been yet any worthwhile comparisons?

I am still waiting for more in depth stuff, especially between 1080p ps4 vs 1080p pro.

Yet only a few shots have been released. So many people already have a Pro could we get some comparisons please?

My impression on a 1080p set where the game's enhancement is purely super sampling then the improvement is subtle.

A little cleaner and less shimmer

Do you have a dual band router that supports 5ghz? If so you have to change it on your settings

Check your router if it's dual band 5Ghz.

Edit. Beaten

Thanks guys.

I checked a Declaration of Conformity and my SKY HUB doesn't support 5Ghz.

Bummer.
