Posted this in the Infinite Warfare thread but got no response.

Hey, anyone able to replicate this screenshot on Retaliation on the OG PS4, Hardcore?

Both are PS4 Pro.

4k. (somehow taken on a 1080p tv)

1080p

Or any chance someone could tell from the 1080p screenshot if the MP uses downsampling or not?

10 hours for around 350GB to transfer via LAN...how are some doing that in under an hour?

My router is a peice of shit that has to be used with my cable internet service. One of its quirks is that it blocks a bunch of ports between its four ethernet ports.

I ended up connecting both PS4 and Pro to the internet on wifi, then a direct ethernet cable between them. It took 5 hours to transfer 750GB.

A direct console to console connection will rule out your router/switch being a bottleneck and you should get the maximum transfer speed.

I know this is a minor nitpick, but man did they have to ship such a damn short power cord? It's very annoying to plug the Pro in with how short it is. Anyone got a recommendation for a replacement cable? Maybe something not as thick/firm to make it easier to work with cable management.

THIS

Anyone know any streaming HDR "showcase material" available to stream now? Pro supported games not in till tomorrow lol

Any kettle plug cable will do. If you dont already have any spare, you can get them super cheap from loads of places. They will all tend to be on the thicker side.

Tell me about, unpacked it and was like wtf!?

I'm having sound drop in and out on my 1080p TV...is there any way to fix this? I tried re-plugging in the HDMI cable a few times but it doesn't seem to help. Sound is fine on my old PS4.

It's a nice set, no question, but the differences for HD content are subtle when compared to our existing 2012 1080p television. I'm expecting my PS4 Pro to arrive in the next hour or two and will be performing a more exhaustive analysis with the two systems running side-by-side on two televisions with HDR 4k content in play.

Keep us updated.

Honestly feels like BF1 was made for Pro/PC and ported down to base PS4/XB1 with how well it runs on the Pro (I know this isn't the case obviously).

Stunning game too and it still has dips, but largely holds that 60 FPS framerate so well.

So let me get this straight, hopfully someone with much more knowledge than me can answer me.

When I start the following games - Ratchet and Clank, Infamous First Light, the PS4 tells me that it switched into an "HDR" mode and that I'm viewing HDR content.

Meanwhile when I go to play Tomb RaiderSE, and Skyrim there is no "hey you are now in HDR mode with these games"

I knew Titanfall 2 had no HDR, bur I thought Tomb Raider/Skyrim did ? Am i mistaken here, I've googled "HDR" ps4 lists and came up with nothing, I would like to know what games showcase HDR best, which ones showcase 4k/updated graphics; The fact that this is so cryptic and hard to find is a little disheartening. I just want to make sure my TV is running everything right and I'm not missing anything.

More importantly are there going to be some games that are in HDR and just wont notify me of the fact? Or is my system settings/tv messed up and I need to change it manually to YUV420? I have it currently set to automatic.

I can 100% confirm this
My transfer went from 32 hours down to 4-8 hours for 1.3tb

PS4 Pro get. I'm only going to transfer P.T. and my game saves from my PS4 using a direct connection.

I'm a believer. I've been testing games all day on the pro. Uncharted in HDR nearing the last 5-6 chapters is about the most beautiful thing I've seen in gaming.

So apparently, in order to have a true 4k image, you need a tv that support HDCP 2.2 which my tv has. Thing is, in HDCP settings in the ps4's safe mode menu, i can only choose 1.4.

I don't get it. Can one of you help me out with this please?

I'm not an expert, but I'm quite confident in saying that 1080p shot is downsampled. It's extremely clean and free of aliasing.

The updated wi-fi seems amazing, I'm getting better connections and speed in everything. 1080p remote play seems rock solid when before even 720p was inconstant for me. Finally having decent networking hardware in there is such a relief

Guys, I've done it so many times that I'm losing my mind: Why the fuck does my system transfer always time out??

My systems are connected via Ethernet, they're both on the same wifi network, I've followed every step to a T so many times.

Help USBGAF. I had placed my save data from my ps4 onto a flash drive and when i put it in my pro it doesn't read that its connected. Yes, it's pushed in all the way and right side up. Any ideas on the problem?

So I'm trying to start a transfer. Both consoles on and connected to my wifi. I log into PSN on my new Pro and start the transfer process. But when I sign in with my Pro, I'm auto signed out on my old PS4. And then the Pro can't find it in my network. What am I doing wrong?

Need some help! I connected the pro to my B6 which as many of u know is 4K HDR and I get no picture. Only sound. I tried different HDMI cable and inputs on the tv and nothing. Thought my unit was defective until I connected it to a 1080p Samsung that I have in my room and I got a picture. Has anyone reported anything similar?

Cross-post from another Pro thread: Ratchet Pro screens

Got my pro today (first PS4 for me) and popped in ratchet. Even on my 1080p set, this game looks incredible. Everything is so sharp and there's not a whiff of aliasing anywhere. Some scenes are borderline an interactive Pixar movie

Very well done Insomniac and Sony. Very well done.

Probably best to try the troubleshooting thread. Include your TV model in there too!

Anybody else getting "error transferring data CE-41655-1"?

I don't get it, not many reports of it at the very least, when attempting to transfer data between PS4s.

Can you still get 4K going through a receiver with any old HDMI cable? O rshould I be going right to the tv with the NEW HDMI cable, then going with an optical cable to the receiver?

Hopefully someone can help me out. I used to run audio on my launch PS4 via HDMI to my receiver but now I have to run audio through an optical cable on my PS4 Pro because my receiver doesn't pass-through HDR signals. Anyway. When i hooked up my PS4 Pro to my receiver via optical cable I cant get it to run at 5.1 Surround Sound I only get 2.0 audio. Is there any way to fix this??

If you're close enough try connecting both to your router via ethernet. That's how I'm doing it right now. I estimate it'll take about 2 hours to transfer 400 GB. Its been about 1.5 hrs and I have about 70 GB left.

did you change your sound settings to use Bitstream instead of LPCM?

Been testing things all day and haven't even played anything. For some crazy reason I love the game within the game. :p

I will say, using HDR on the Pro definitely looks better than on a base PS4. I had crushed blacks like you wouldn't believe on my OG PS4, so much so that I set the in game brightness all the way up and it was still crushing blacks. Glad to see that wasn't the case here. Looks great now that I settled on YUV420, which got rid of the color banding for the most part....and it looks great in 4k, such a very clean image:

Finally, we can make our games look like bullshots!

Oh my god, someone help me. I've been working on this for over two hours.

Whenever I start the transfer, I'm met with with:

"Cannot connect to the server within the time limit.
There might have been a problem in connecting to the network, or PlayStation Network or the server of the service provider might be temporarily busy.
(NE-31175-7)"

PLEASE HELP. I'm met with this no matter how I do it (connecting directly, connecting through router, etc.). I have to get this transferred over. I'm supposed to be selling my old PS4 to a friend.

Go into the sound settings and change it to DTS. PCM is Stereo only via optical cable.

weird. it sounds like you're getting disconnected from PSN? i think you need to be logged in for it to allow you to transfer licenses?

Unless your receiver specifically passes through a 4K signal, you'll have to connect the Pro directly to your TV and then use an Optical cable...it's what I had to do, since my receiver is older and doesn't do 4K.

Did anyone with a 4K OLED have any issues getting a picture of was it just plug and play? I'm wondering if my system is defective. getting a black screen with sound and if I look at the signal infor it says 2160p.

Black screen with sound sounds like the HDCP issue. Try booting to safe mode and switching on HDCP 1.4

Logged in on both. On my name on both. No reason why it shouldn't work. It's infuriating. I've hard rebooted the consoles, my router, everything.

Oh god, someone HAS TO know what I'm doing wrong.

Skyrim looks noticeably better (1080p).

Don't know. I didn't have that trouble with mine, although I did notice some of my thumb drives were a little touchier than others, when I was initially loading my PS4 saves on to one. Have you tried all the 3 different USB ports? Maybe one of them is messed up but the others work? Have you tried other flash drives to see if they activate in that port (or another)?

Looks like my 30ft hdmi cable ain't cutting it out for 4K plus HDR. Getting snow artifacts. Guess I'm gonna have to wait until some company releases a Premium Certified 30 ft cable.
