So battlefront 1.11 scarif update installed, currently can't connect to EA servers.

Seems the VR mission is downloadable from a link on the main menu now, but due to the servers being down the DL button does nothing.

I can't believe I stayed up for this :(.

Off to bed, hopefully this is fixed by the time I wake up later.

Finished the RESI 7 demo and damn what a scary ride that was. Almost quit but pursued. Horror in VR is legit.

Yep it's certainly something else, I used to think that Outlast was scary on it's own. RE7 is just a whole other level. I can honestly see them needing to put warnings about heart conditions on there. Think I might need to strap a heart monitor up to check things out when playing it. It's a shame that you cannot stream your video feed in VR to see people react as they play.

TAJ

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

FFS fix this shit Sony. Since VRideo is gone, is there even a way to watch SBS 3D videos? Fuck this.

It's pretty obvious Sony doesn't want to get the press for all the porn that will be played on it when they do support 3D. Sure, there's plenty of awesome non-porn content but lets be real, that'll get lost in the shouts from the porn sites about how the PS VR supports it.

Although downloaded Hypervoid from this months PS+ offerings, and added the vr missions, nice little shooter so far and good to have another VR freebie. Filling the hour wait nicely.

If you want a medium to succeed, put porn on it. VHS, internet.. VR! haha

Can't wait to try the x wing mission. Sadly I will probably have to wait until next week, since our house is in the middle of renovations for the next couple days.

Link no workie but was able to find it on the store searching for star wars.....the vr mission as a separate dl and the scarif dlc.

1.9gb dling now. Hope it works without any sever nonsense after this.

EDIT: Ok, installed off the store and there's no separate menu icon, you still need to load back in through regular Battlefront, but then the vr mission menu just says start now and it will load in from there.

ITS BEAUTIFUL! THAT AT-AT!

So the AT-AT is great!

But it gets so boring so fast.
What annoys me is the complete lack of speed, one may think it's lack of frame of reference in deep space, but it's not. It's purposely designed to be very slow.

Also, the Mission design, did anyone from criterion play through tie fighter or x-wing or x-wing alliance and see what made a good Mission??
This did not need to be made in a vacuum!

All in all: being in a x-wing: great
Being in a very boring Mission: not so great.

How does it compare to the CoD mission in terms of controls/speed?

Worse speed, battlefront control.

Explosions are better of course! Jackal assault runs its explosion effect on PowerPoint.

The Star Wars scale works great; the AT-AT and the Star Destroyer, it's quite a shame it's so dull :(

Star Wars was really something else.

A nice preview of
K2S0, can't believe Alan Tudik is in Star Wars, pessimistic robots are the best

Even though I'm not going to get my PSVR until Christmas I'm really thinking about picking up Sports Bar since it's on sale. I might just use my $10 psn credit from buying a Pro for it

I enjoyed it a lot but I agree with the speed thing, I felt like I was moving slow a lot of the time. I also like Eve controls better where I can roll and stuff. I would be there day one for a full version of this game though :O

Just played through the X-Wing mission. I agree with the speed or lack of, also immediately turned of the g-force thing that narrows your view when making sharp turns.

But the good, as a cockpit experience it's fantastic. The details are great, pushing buttons is fun and hearing the sound of small asteroids hitting your craft is fantastic.

The mission itself is short but sweet with some great moments in there
star destroyer flying overhead was insane
. But the thing that impressed me the most was the feedback you get, the sound is on point but also the vibration when you fly by an engine of a bigger ship feels great.

It also looks super crisp on the Pro, from the cockpit to the explosions. The voice acting is good. Overall a really good experience and I think this will be my go-to showcase VR thing.

Next to the speed I also found the controls to be limiting, same issue as with the jackal mission. I wish you could roll like in Eve. Though it's not a big problem.

What it boils down to is that I really want a full Rogue Squadron VR game. Would not even care if you only get to pilot an X-Wing for the entirety of the game, though a snowspeeder/hoth mission would be great.

It wasn't bad, however I thought the graphics were blurry, especially coming from the RE7 demo, which is far crispier in my opinion. Is it just me or RE is using a sharpening filter? Is noticeable when stopping from movement (physical or just head movement), the image goes back and forth from sharper to a little blurrier.

EDIT: I'm on a Pro, by the way

Has anyone checked out Werewolves WIthin yet? I'm intrigued by that one. Looks like a lot of fun but requires an online community obviously for it to be successful. It does have cross-play for online which is a great decision

This is how I felt almost exactly, that spoilered moment was WHOA. You dont get a good sense of scale or speed unless you are near something which probably just an inherent problem with being in space. Controls definitely need a roll.

absolutely loved the x-wing mission, a star wars childhood wet dream just came true..

Now, please do a whole game. and a battlefield 1 vr mission in a tank.

What if one has no friends with PSVR though

You don't need friends. Playing with randoms is fucking hilarious. The default on voice chat is glorious.

Played star wars and holy moly this is awesome, but too damn short. I would buy a full game of these missions.

Tried also the RE7 demo in VR...WHO THE FUCK PLAYS THIS???? THIS IS MADNESS! I was 3 rooms in and had to stop, this is some serious creepy shit, can't take it. I was looking to get the game but now I'm really concerned about the game. I will not survive this.

Downloading X-Wing VR Mission now. Sitting all prepared, just Lenspenned my headset to receive maximum awesomeness.

For anyone finding the 'Download' box within the main game is greyed out, you can also find and download the DLC from the Store. Saved my tears, thought I'd share. Don't know wtf is wrong with the option from the main game, but hey.
