Its in my top 5 for sure, I just don't really have a sense of purpose anymore after finishing the main showcase and really only just feel like logging in to do Forzathon stuff, which btw was a brilliant addition and way to keep the game lively.
I sorta like the new DLC, its an interesting clash of snow vs the desert of Australia but since it is winter time here in the states I think I would have preferred tropical racing or something like that, and snow in the summer time when its 110 outside.
I hope the second DLC is a content DLC item though and not just a NASCAR/Porsche style xpac.
Another stupid question (I am good at it) ... how does Multiplayer work? Is it drop-in and out in some fashion? Or .... what happens?
It uses the same exact map as your SP map, and adds/changes some of the events to multiplayer races and events. You can do freeroam, which puts you in a lobby with 2-16 (?) players and anyone can start an event by driving up to it and people can join or keep doing whatever they want. You can do events multiplayer, which chains 4 games together for a session and then repeats - I think currently the games rotate between king of the hill, flag running, and infected. Finally you can just do multiplayer racing games, obviously just doing similar races as SP but against other players. It does have small tweaks like you turn into a ghost if you hit stuff so you don't get 10 player pileups, etc.
Its all very seamless and well done and stuff you "accomplish" in multiplayer carries into SP, so any points, achievements, etc work seamlessly between the two. Its very fun and worth a spin, solo or in a group.
The drift tap objective was quite a challenge. I eventually did it using a slower car without the snow tires so it was easier to initiate a drift and control it.
