1 | scntfc | Oxenfree OST (would include the Side Stories EP as well but it would have to be a separate space, I imagine, and I'm not going to cut out another just to include 2 things from one artist)

Some of the best game music in a long while. I love the slight layers beneath it all. Such a chill set of songs and....god I love it. Really strikes me on an emotional level. It just oozes into my soul.




2 | Hallelujah The Hills | A Band Is Something To Figure Out

It doesn't beat their previous album, Have You Ever Done Something Evil? (still my favorite album of theirs by far) , but it grows on me the more I listen to it. Pure unadulterated rock at it's finest.




3 | Plaid | The Digging Remedy

Like HtH's, it's not their strongest outing but it's grown on me quite a bit as well. Like my #1 spot it's got some great chill to it but also some darkness bubbling beneath.




4 | Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds | Skeleton Tree

Got into Nick Cave recently from a co-worker and this album hits all the right spots for me. Such a great burner.




5 | Jeff Rosenstock | Worry

Probably the guy's best solo work yet to be perfectly honest. The hits keep coming on it and it works all so well. Flows from one song to the next with such a frenetic pace that I can't help but listen to it all.




6 | The Pillows | Stroll And Roll

I appreciated that they revisited some of their roots in this album. Especially some of the jazz-rock sound from the Kool Spice/Living Field era. It really helped pull it up for me and really makes it such a treat to listen to.



7 | AJJ | The Bible 2

Need to give this album more of a listen to but for now it'll land here. It's interesting to see the change in direction the band and it's members have gone down since some of their earlier less......inclusive work, to put it in a word. It's always fun to see a band evolve/the members mature as time goes by.



8 | Radiohead | A Moon Shaped Pool

Like the one with AJJ above, I need to give it more of a listen. I quite like what I have heard, mind you. Just can't properly rank it much higher for right now.




9 | Laura Stevenson And The Cans | Live At The Vera Club

It's fun to hear the live versions and just how much they differ from the recording. Surprised to see how much changes with some of the songs as time goes on. Plus the live mixing is pretty well done.




10 | The Axis of Awesome | Viva La Vida Loca Las Vegas.

Probably one of their weaker outings but still lots of good fun from a band mostly focused on being comedic.
