The Last Guardian

The Last Guardian is a janky awkward game that is also pretty damn good in my opinion. It's the type of game where your cat goat will sometimes listen to you perfectly and other times choose a really inappropriate time to scratch his neck, throwing you off to your death as a result. I think, kinda like Shin Godzilla, people should know what they're getting with TLG. In TLG, you are very rarely ever in complete control. The trailer that has your armadillo horse catching you with his tail after you outrun a collapsing platform? Action set piece moments like that are like 10%, maybe 15% of the game. (And honestly, I think most of them are the some of the weaker moments of the game.) Most of the game is you and your pheasant donkey traveling along ruins, solving simple puzzles. When combat enters the scene, your main job in the overwhelming majority of them is not to get grabbed by the various armored goons after you. (Later on you get to be a bit more active.) The game doesn't run smooth on a base PS4, it sometimes dips all the way down to like 15 frames per second. Sometimes the camera will just freak out in close quarters. The little goober you're in charge of has two movement speeds, tip toeing and running like the dickens.

It probably sounds like I'm lambasting the game, but I had a pretty great time with it. It's a game you have to go at its speed for though. It's got great art, some genuinely breathtaking moments, and Trico himself is pretty amazing.

Look, it's mofu caster or go home.
Would you take her Berserker class alternative?

Happy New Year from Germany.
Last year i didn't watch that much anime, because of time and whatnot. Hopefully this year that can change and i can watch seasonal anime again when they air and maybe post about them.

Well...look like my next anime to watch will be The Hentai The Prince and Stony Cat. Can't say much about the show but hope it's a fun show to watch. At the same time, I am slowly going through my other backlogged show like Maison Ikkoku which I am still watching just slowly now.

I actually just bought that.

sentai is still running their solid anime sale, and then just put out 3 coupon codes (10 off 75, 25 off 100 or 50 off 200)

so it managed to make its way into my order despite being subtitled only.

it's not an amazing show, but it was enjoyable and thus joins the group of less than 20 shows that I own that are subtitle only (I have like 300+ dubbed series in my collection lol)

Ah....don't tell me about the anime sale as I have to skip it for this year for financial reason. As for the show, well...average but fun show is fine for me now before I get into the deeper one which I need to get though for the new year (https://myanimelist.net/animelist/johnblade). I have 23 animes I am slowly going through right now and hope to get through almost all of them this new year. Just need to pace myself a bit here.

I need to watch more series before jan 30th.

i've been watching a lot of american cartoons right now.

currently most of the way through my little pony :p

Just finished season 3 of Haikyuu.

Damn, I wonder what season 4 has to offer.

Thoroughly enjoyed the character development and how the team has evolved over the seasons.

Can't believe I didn't watch this sooner, but really happy I could watch all the episodes one after another!

I took some time off from watching anime for a bit for personal and work matter. Just slowly coming back in. Also, how many anime you own? You say over 300 series which is big and look like bigger than my collection which is less than 300 series/OVA/Movie.

I am actually slowly working on figuring out what I own.
the majority of my collection is dvd but I have like 75 series or so on blu ray at this point.

i spend way to much on anime though, but it's all good :p

I have 100+ series I am meaning to finish watching right now... gotta focus on a few for the AOTY voting :p

Ah I see. Well, wish you luck in going through your backlogged you have there. Also, I would recommend to use this site to help you found out what anime stuff you own as it's the most update I found as of now (http://www.filmaf.com/).

If you're wondering, here my update anime collection I own as of now. Will most likely to buy some more anime later when I can get though the one I need to get down here (http://johnblade.filmaf.com/owned/anime).

Fate Grand Order First Order

"Yeah, I'm just hanging under this giant, hot rock"
I think watching this drunk was either the worst or the best idea ever. There was so much Fate jargon, like Chaldeas and Chaldea apparently being something different or all this talk about singularities and shit that I barely understood. Also, I'm not even sure if this is canon, the Fate universe is confusing me.

Anyway, like UBW, this had another super bland protagonist and a tsundere that is mostly useless. However, Mash and Evil Saber were great and it was worth it just for them. That small Nero Saber cameo was also good, even though I have no idea why people like Nero Saber. It's a Saber, so of course she's great and that's what matters. And of course, the Caster was the best Caster ever. Not like this is particularly hard. Still, really fun to watch and had the best moments.

The biggest surprise was
that the Lancer didn't commit suicide.

I kind of wish the Fate/GO anime was about a Japanese whale spending thousands on the game trying to get Saber in order to cope with grief. They could call it Fate/GO by the Sea.

For a second I imagined a giant mammalian sea creature instead of a human gambling addict. Think I liked it better that way.

Ok, this Fate talk today is killing me. I haven't watched anything past Fate/Zero.

What's next in order?

Fate S/N UBW or just Fate S/N?

I would say SAO is slightly better than FSN. The first season that is. The second season is beyond garbage. Like if garbage could speak it would say S2 smells.
