Wait, where did the Ever Oaisis rumors stem from? I thought I was up to date on Siwtch leaks?

No leaks, people just think Nintendo would port all upcoming 3DS games to Switch. I think that would be stupid move, killing 3DS without reason. Emily said Nintendo intend to keep 3DS alive sometime into 2018.

Mario Strikers getting announced at the January event would make me lose my shit. Honestly, it's probably the biggest first party megaton unrelated to the virtual console that they could pull with me...

It'd be awesome no doubt....I'm holding out for a new Mario Golf announcement.....

I need to see them taking more chances with fresh new IP with Splatoon, bringing back things like Fzero, a true Metroid Prime etc. for me to shell out again. If it's just more of the same, I'm fine plaything their old games on Retroarch and looking at my Amiibo to satisfy my nostalgia.

You are against more of the same, while asking for more of the same. Cough.

The intent with the list? A bunch of these IPs weren't a thing on NES-N64. Some developers, like Retro, didn't even exist.

We do not know how many teams EPD Tokyo/Kyoto has since the unification of development teams. That dev list is outdated & pretty much useless as a result.

No? The list reflects the restructure

Does anybody have a list of Nintendo studios who haven't announced anything in a while and are likely releasing new projects on the Switch within the next year or two? Studios like Retro for example. I'd like to see who else might have some games in the chamber.

I think Splatoon has taught Nintendo a valuable lesson. I think we're going to be a big new IP from one of their big studios unveiled in January. Probably Retro.

Was there ever talk about Switch having 4g or something like that?

Nintendo may want to do that to combat piracy (Super Mario Run), but I don't know if that would have been shown in a patent or not.

If you can get more of the same while not constantly shelling out $$$ for new hardware and software, why would you bother spending money? Just play the old games you already know you enjoy.

Nobody wants a 4G Switch with an inflated price. It was dumb to have a 3G Vita and it woukd be dumb to have a 4G Switch.

Next Level Games was supposedly working on a Wii U project, but that didn't work out obviously. Wouldn't be surprised if they brought it over to the Switch. I highly doubt that they were working only on Metroid Prime: Federation Force since Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. My guess is they're working on a new Metroid Prime game.

I mentioned more new fresh IP in the vein of Splatoon in what you quoted. :D I'd love to see some new IP in more realistic settings, more mature themes (adult-oriented stories, not violence, T&A etc.) as well.

But yes, I'd like them to revive some IP that have been dead for a generation or two or more since I personally was super underwhelmed by the libraries for the Wii and Wii U, and to a lesser extent the 3DS. Not that those libraries are bad, they're not and many love them. They just didn't mesh well with my tastes. To many games/genres I was just no interested in and franchises/IP I long grew tired of.

If they don't, that's fine. I can accept Nintendo just isn't for me any more and doesn't put out enough games that interest me to justify owning their hardware. It would sting a little having grown up a huge fan and having such nostalgia for them, but c'est le vie if it comes to that. Plenty to play elsewhere, and emulators are great for scratching that nostalgic itch.

As for the IPs and developers, sure, and glad you like so many of them. I loved the Metroid Prime games from Retro, not much else you listed appealed to me personally. I much more miss the IPs and developers (like Rare) that went away.

I don't want to play Persona 5 on TV all the time. I would have never played through Persona 4 if it wasn't on Vita. Guess I'll either wait or bite the bullet and get it on PS4.

Man... I didn't plan on getting Persona 5 right away, but I definitely would have caved for a Switch version. Here's hoping that those plans change down the line. I really don't have the time for that kind of game on a traditional console anymore.

I just don't want to grind through long dungeons on TV anymore. I stopped playing Tokyo Mirage Sessions after 20h because of this.

Looks like the only portable Persona 5 for a while is via Vita Remote Play.

PR Manager says game that will be out soon on one platform won't be out on another. I mean, Bethesda PR literally refuses to say Skyrim is coming to the Switch despite it featuring heavily in the reveal trailer. Can't this be a same scenario, where PR doesn't want to counter the sales potential of one system and wants to entice people to buy a game on one system before announcing its arrival on another?

Yes, it's the classic "buy what's available now, not what might be available later"

Let's also not forget persona 5 2015 right up until the delay was officially announced

Not that it's definitely coming to switch by any means

Damn. The $250 PS4 Uncharted bundle could be a perspective problem for Nintendo.

I think just a PS4 by itself is a problem. Get this weak machine with unknown software support and features for the same price as the currently best selling and most powerful console on the market.

As someone who bought a WiiU on launch (and a Wii, and a Gamecube, etc...) that's a terribly disappointing list. Holy shit.

I'm with you, aside from Zelda and Mario 3d that " software list" is sad. I don't think there's anything throughout the whole year that's of interest to me, except maybe Southpark.

You are missing the point entirely. It was not a statement of liking or disliking these games, it was a statement if such games exist. Based on what we know Zelda, 3D Mario, Splatoon,NBA 2K, Fifa, Just Dance, Lego Works, new indies, Yooka-Laylee, Tekken 7, new indies, Rime, Pikmin 4, Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Project Sonic, Pokemon Stars, the new IP and the new Retro game do exist.

You might not be interested but I don't find that a particularly interesting discussion to have.

I'm with you, aside from Zelda and Mario 3d that

"I'm not interested in lineup of games, except the following [insert list of games] " will never not be funny.

Laura shouldn't stop with the leaks because a few people want to be surprised. We shouldn't give a fuck about PR, all we should care about is the information, and as quick as possible.

But what about the information that's wrong or misleading, like the tech stuff on Switch? That's the reason we have some people haturbating A LOT here. Those are pretty damaging, be it Nintendo or the regular forum-dwellers.

I mean, if you have one piece of the puzzle, you don't go yelling "this thing is the shittiest shit ever!" unless you know the rest of the facts. Oh wait, this is the Internet, of course you yell DOOM in every occasion.

Not you you, but the person that does that. So limited language...

Laura got the leakyphilis, can't stop now. Never start reporting leaks, folks, that is the gateway to hard drugs! Soon you will shoot kannabis right in your veins under some shady bridge in a stereotypical 'Murican city... Sad, sad destiny awaits the one going this path...

I'll just wait the real deal, these reports hardly move my meter in any way. And there is so much that we don't know yet, people crying that LKD's reports are the only games/features we'll get are just a sad bunch of heathens... Have faith, the reckoning is nigh!

Only Metroid Prime form Retro can save this train wreck called Switch.

I don't think Persona 5 would be called just "Persona 5" if it comes to Switch. Everybody's saying "Crimson" but I want more classy thing. Like... "Persona 5: Rhapsody"

I think just a PS4 by itself is a problem. Get this weak machine with unknown software support and features for the same price as the currently best selling and most powerful console on the market.

Really? Can kids put PS4's in their backpacks and bring it to school? Can I play my PS4 on a plane or train? Will PS4 have Pokémon? Nope, I don't think PS4 affect Switch sales much even at $50.

Didn't see anything else posted on this, but there appears to be Nintendo Switch presentation advertisements at Japanese Railway lines.

Judging by the dates, I'm assuming these are the 2 days afterwards that will be open to the general public?
