Red Letter Media |OT| of Movies, Murderers, and Pizza Rolls

I miss comedy, likeable-schlub John Goodman. Now he is serious, intimidating John Goodman. I think "The Big Lebowski" was the last schlub role he took, right?

Oh, IGN. I liked Rogue One, but I would put most of the movies I saw this year over it (and at least three of those are Disney movies).

Speed Racer? ;P

He had his moments in 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.

Freaking A he was. It's too bad that movie will probably be forgotten at Oscar time.

I thought the movie was so-so. It wasn't terrible, and I liked the concept. It makes me want to see a full Cloverfield movie that isn't a found footage film. But John Goodman did give a great performance.

But it wasn't a found footage film?

I was talking about the original Cloverfield, which was a found footage movie. I would like to see a new Cloverfield movie that is much more conventional follow up on the original movie and this film as well. 10 Cloverfield Lane teases just enough to make me want to see a full blown Cloverfield monster movie produced by Bad Robot.

I want a sequel to 10 Cloverfield Lane that's just Aliens but replace Weaver with Winstead.

I don't know who is there now, but if Jeremy and Norm are still there, then they've worked with Gary for years even before Tested as even a thing.

Then I guess it was Kishore, but it wouldn't bet on it. Not that it matters. It's not like Tested is awful about it or the advertising on the podcast (no Lootcrate either). It's a good podcast I enjoy and their pop-culture segment is fine, too. But him nominating Rogue One as his movie of 2016 really didn't sit well with me, as he was still riding the release hype.

I mean, I stopped listening to it around the time Will left since maker/culture stuff isn't all that interesting to me, so I don't really place that much importance on their views, but I'm also not surprised that they would be fanboys as well even without the Gary Whitta connection. Norm is a guy who goes to conventions to take pictures of cosplayers, so yeah. lol

I love the wheel of the worst format but man have they produced some poor episodes recently because of it. There needs to be a way to filter some of those tapes out because when you get that many with no redeeming quality in a row it can be painful to watch.

Rich does filter them though. lol

poor episodes? Some of the recent Wheel of the Worsts are some of the best episodes of BotW period.

The latest one was just ok though, but they did go through the whole wheel so these were probably the crappy tapes they had in the first batch they wanted to get rid of.

Never forget The Osteoporosis Dance.

edit: coincidentally fucking that up reminds me of the whole argument in BotW where Mike keeps insisting the dead girl goes like "Hi, I'm Jan and I'm dead" when the actual line was "Hi, I'm dead"

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
Good ol' Fuck You It's January

Oh man if they waited a couple days, they could have made jokes about the CHiPS movie.

The fact that it didn't make Rich laugh is eerie.

He laughs at everything. It's the one sure thing in life.

I think the funniest joke RLM has ever produced was when Mike said "ironically, they are nothing but bones now" at the Osteoporosis Dance.

I had to watch that again last night and I agree.
