Someone remind me, does Amazon take the money right away for a pre-order?

RRP doesn't mean anything in the UK. (re: game prices)
The price of the console is fine for me but I am not paying £60 for any fucking game.
Is Nintendo for real?

Yes, they're pricing the games the same as everyone else. Stores don't charge the RRP so I don't get what people are surprised about. Do they not know the market?
Yuck.
I'd say I'd wait for the price drop 6 months in like 3ds but unfortunately our currency may well be so fucked by that point that any price drop elsewhere is completely lost for us.
The Amazon UK page is now showing pre-orders as live from 7am. I don't have a Game UK account but it looks like you can pre-order from them.

Wasn't wii £179.99 at launch too?.I remember when the GameCube launched in the UK for 130. Yes yes, inflation and all, but that console was modern tech and brimming with exclusives. It was a bargain.
What are Nintendo playing at these days.
Note: GAME have had their preorders up for months, so you may not get it on launch.
What a mess. Yikes.Eh? You can get a PS4 for less. With a game
RRP.
PS4 games are £50-£60

Yeh digital pricing over here is crazy on all consoles but we'll still be able to get Switch games physically for £40 without any problems. That shit is straight dumb though since the digital versions end up being sold at RRP.
If nobody sells at RRP, why the hell is that still the RRP?
