Sure, but why are some people expecting a new Halo for that? It's only going to be a resolution bump and HDR, and the game still has to run on the Xbox One, so wanting a Scorpio for a specific game seems a bit... odd to me. Specific games are never going to sell this machine - it's the impact it will have on ALL of your games going forwards that will sell it.

FYI Halo games come out every 3 years. I expect Halo 3 Anniversary this year then Halo 6 next year.

I think the lineup could be better than many people think, but outside of Forza I can't say with confidence any of those games will be good.

No. I think that's what Spencer is referring to tbqh. Microsoft's most recent statement on the game that I know of DENIES that the game has been canceled.
My expectation is that people will read my remark and either ignore it or go "huh, that's interesting." I don't have any information, just recall hearing that the game was still in development, but don't know how true or false this claim is. All I'm saying is I wouldn't go "yeah they definitely canceled the game."

This "every X years" logic is what led to so many people expecting a TES 6 announcement at last year's E3 =P
Chances are high that Halo 6 will happen next year, but it's an important enough franchise that I wouldn't mind if they took another year or two on top to really ensure a groundbreaking sequel.

Phantom Dust has huge potential in the online gaming scene and Microsoft can turn it into its own Overwatch. The original was quite futuristic for its time so the remaster has a chance in doing well.
But in all honesty it is in a very bizaare limbo of cancelled but not cancelled,
They outright refuse to say whether it is or not. I need a solid statement saying that its over, pack up and go home etc.
There is a Halo game coming out this year already though.

Oh wow, just the original game with Xbox Live support. 480p resolution they say in the video. Also, when asked about a new Phantom Dust, she says it'll depend on the response to this release, so that should answer the question about what Phil's talking about.

Exactly. Last E3 eurogamer reported it as cancelled and the original getting a remaster.
Maybe the remaster is what phil's talking about.

At the very least, a consensus on this thread is that a lot of folks are really looking forward to State of Decay 2 and unless Undead Labs screw royally which I don't think they will, Microsoft can at least count on that title for 2017 to be a feather on their cap.
Don't get your hopes up. Temper expectations so you will be less likely to be disappointed
