amazingly, The Last Jedi is just the name for the new Death Star
Nice title.
Shame about the logo tho. Was expecting something new.
Edit: Wait, there's no source. Probably fake then.
Not that I saw but I could have missed itWasn'tconfirmed for Episode 8 too?Han

I thought Luke was confirmed to appear in Episode 9? I guess he could turn up as a ghost.
Man, going into Episode 9 without Luke, Han or Leia would be a bit of a downer.
All those titles are about a conflict and boil down to basic summaries of what's happening in the star warI can't really explain it but why are The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi feel so much different from A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Revenge of the Sith, Clone Wars. They feel on par with The Phantom Menace. Maybe it's because they feel singular and not about the whole?
FWIW - Luke is referred to as "The Last Jedi" in Force Awakens. So I don't think this is necessarily a giant "LUKE DIES" give away. It just means Rey isn't a Jedi yet.
i'd prefer "last of the jedi" since it rolls of the tongue better
but this new trilogy seems to be doing "the ___ ___" as subtitles
This seems a lot like "Ha, you thought it was singular, we got ya!"
"The Last" is such an early 90's movie title fad.
Hype!
now break the internet and a drop a trailer
lol it was announced on the Star Wars website
Well OP could have put a link thenThe source is Star Wars.com
I'm surprised it's not a more blatant throwback to Empire Strikes Back
Collider article
I don't really love this title but its not like A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back are great titles
Nah. Reverse that.
We're already sans Sith. This is the Jedi exiting stage left. Whatever Rey learns will probably be focused on a different form of light side practice.
LOL!
These are just from the 80s:
The Last Unicorn
The Last Starfighter
The Last Dragon
The Last Emperor
The Last Temptation of Christ
The Last American Virgin
I don't know why everyone is saying Luke dies or Rey dies. Rey isn't a Jedi yet, not until her training can be completed. It also could mean that Rey will be the last Jedi, since Luke may have turned from it. Multiple meanings!
1) Luke is referred to as The Last Jedi in Force Awakens. Maybe it's just how Snoke and the First Order address Luke.
2) Jedi is both singular and plural
3) Rey is still in training and is not a Jedi yet. Luke didn't become a Jedi until ROTJ after all of his training was done
