Correct a standard monitor will not work for HDR, in fact you will screw up your image. You need a TV or monitor that has essentially what amounts to wide color gamut, local dimming, 10 bit/12 bit and a higher maximum brightness.

Dark room that will change I really like horror but the settings and sounds in this game couldn't take it had to turn some lights on even early on game is spooky as fuck.

Well I believe we know you can't get HDR with 4:4:4 10 bit because of hdmi limitations. So we should be looking at 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 4:2:2 10 bit looks odd though. going to try 4:2:0

Wait no 4:2:2 looks fine, just was using a really odd resolution and had put my refresh to 60 for some odd reason.

It may be a region availabilty issue. I saw someone streaming it straight from his PS4 (in France).

Yeah, I'm 90% sure streaming was just disabled to prevent people streaming it early easily, and it just isn't turned on again everywhere yet. I'm sure PS4 Share options for RE7 will be up everywhere in a few hours.

Have you ever had an issue with your TV where you only get 8 or 12 bit options? It's a 10 bit panel but this is the first time I've tried to use hdr via the pc

I'm honestly surprised many people found Alien: Isolation scary at all. The game has a good atmosphere, but once you learn how to exploit the Alien's AI, which happens fairly quickly, it becomes a cakewalk

You're not wrong, though that game utterly fucks with my head. The feeling that any mistake is almost instant failure tends to do it in some degree.

It makes Outlast look like it could've been released on the first gen Xbox.
