World of Goo, Little Inferno, Human Resource Machine coming to Switch March 3rd

Human Resource Machine is great. World of Goo is great. I wasn't as fond of Little Inferno, but it's good to see it coming too.

I don't care for these games, but hopefully that means that it's really easy to port indie games, and we end up with cool couch games like Duck Game or Starwhal on it.

World of Goo is a masterpiece. Its been years since I played that game.

Little Inferno is pretty forgettable though. Im not even sure if it was even a game or more of a burn things up simulator or something.

Never played human resource machine. Any good?

This is great! I'm surprised that World of Goo is still running for $15 on the Wii Shop Channel. Now avoiding that version will be even easier with the Switch version coming Day One for the system.

That physical lineup's still really anemic, but the eShop looks like it's going to have a really strong launch.

I honestly think that there's a real opportunity for exposure if some of these digital-only games were to get a physical release, too; fill out the shelves a bit on launch day. The Binding of Isaac's got the right idea, and there's no reason why something like Snipperclips shouldn't grace a shop shelf at a lower price.

Seems a lot like the Switch could carry a strong indie portfolio. Supporting both traditional controls and touch input makes it a great fit for both the console/PC and mobile indie devs.

It being a burn things up simulator is the biggest part of its beauty

Well World of Goo would be pretty shite to control otherwise, so I think it's a safe bet.

Wasn't it a Wii game originally?

IIRC there were weird pricing and file size rules on the Wii Shop Channel. So that may be why we didn't see many (any?) sales or price drops on that platform.

Hopefully Little Inferno is free for Wii U version owners. Would be cool to have a free upgrade for Goo as well but I'm not expecting that.

Missed out on World of Goo, so I'll definitely be picking it up with the Switch!

I've already played and greatly enjoyed Little Inferno, such a unique little gem.

Never played any of these despite having both Wii and Wii U. World of Goo looks interesting from a quick youtube search. Not sure about the other 2 though.

Very cool, the more games the better.

I'm curious as to the lifespan of games like these have when transferring from system to system. Like, I wonder how much they'd sell if they were ported over and over until Nintendo's next next system.

Like, how many people would buy the same game 5+ times?

This is the machine most of us knew it would be.

Wii U + 3DS first party (still to be seen), indies, Vita games and some nice Japanese third party support with western third party sprinkled here and there.

Get some of those Nintendo funded and published niche games like Bayonetta, sin & punishment, wonderful 101, etc and we're golden.

Yep, it looks like it'll be the perfect compliment to a nice PC.

Never played World of Goo so I'll be picking that up.
Little Inferno was a great Wii U launch title and it should be a pretty good fit on Switch.
Not sure about Human Resource machine, but if the price is right I'll pick it up

World of Goo, the first indie game I tried out (and loved) back on WiiWare. One of my all-time favorites.

Definitely picking that up just for kicks.
World of goo will be interesting to look at. Its 4 player mode with wiimotes/pointers was a blast. I wonder if they can reproduce that with joy-cons.

But you could just buy all of those games for under 10€ on PC, couldn't you? There's some great potential for PC + Switch Humble Bundles here but other than that I think it will be difficult to sell those games again to PC owners. At least for games that have gotten as cheap as those three.

Awesome! I'm definitely hoping there will be some kind of "Buy all 3, get a discount!" promotion. Hopefully the Switch's eShop (or whatever they'll call it) will support deals like that.

How's Human Resource Machine, never played it.

It's fun. It's a puzzle game heavily based on coding, so it's all about sequences of operations and logic. It's wrapped up in that distinctive Tomorrow Corporation aesthetic and vibe. Your enjoyment of it will really depend on how you feel about the kinds of thinking and problem solving that coding requires.

Hm cool to hear. World of Goo was great.

So the (NA/EU) launch lineup went from this on 1/12:
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2 Switch
Super Bomberman R
Just Dance 2017
Skylanders

to this by 1/24
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
1-2 Switch
Super Bomberman R
Just Dance 2017
Skylanders
Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

Digital:
I am Setsuna
World of Goo
Little Inferno
Human Resource Machine

Interesting....

I wonder if anything else will pop up.

It's good! Makes you feel smart when you solve a puzzle and does a decent job of explaining some basic programming concepts.

Plus the standard awesome presentation from 2D Boy/Tomorrow Corp.

It's for people like me who adore TIS-100 and Shenzhen I/O but suck spectacularly at them. :)

Wow this indie lineup continues and it's for launch! Very nice.

Japan Third party support will be par with 3DS though. Not console game makers.

I'll pay full price to play them portability. If I'm going to sit at my PC, it's going to be for Titanfall 2, R6S, Total Warhammer, etc.

Nice stuff.

But the most important, unanswered question is: does World of Goo support pointer controls?

PS: guys, it's a GREAT game

Human Resource Machines is probably the greatest game about assembly programming. I got it on the Wii U, and it made excellent use of the Wii U Gamepad. I guess all these titles will use the Switch touchscreen in portable mode.

From the list of available indies at launch, it seems that NoE has done a much better initial job towards the indie companies than NoA or NCL.
