There have been a lot of new video game Funko Pop figures revealed of late--Mass Effect: Andromeda, Gears of War, Tekken, Overwatch--and the company's not stopping. Today, it showed off new Pop figures and keychains based on the Kingdom Hearts series.

Seven new Pop Vinyl figures have been announced, including two each for Pete, Donald, and Goofy, as well as Mickey and Chip and Dale ones.

A few of these will be retailer exclusives: the black-and-white Pete will only be found at Walmart, Kingdom Goofy at GameStop, and Kingdom Donald at Hot Topic. The others will be released more broadly. All of these arrive in April.

Before those hit stores, Funko will also released Pop keychains featuring Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. Those debut in March.

People are theorizing that while Disney owns the rights to the KH characters, Square Enix has some say in merchandize rights, which is why all Kingdom Hearts figures are made by Square and not Disney.

That being said, Goofy is terrifying.

Funko already has deals with Disney and I think the original characters, such as Sora, are owned by Square.

I think Pete and Goofy look alright, but the others... yeah. The outfits look really good, at least. Maybe they'll look better in person.

I think Mickey is a little off but the rest look fantastic.

Why do people like these so much...?

Because most people don't think they're ugly.

They have a ton of really nice lines. Some don't come out as well as they should but their Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, etc. lines are all great looking.
