Oh, I really like the look of it. Elegant and responsive.

I hope we get some nice themes, I want that 3DS Hanafuda theme on Switch. But the black theme will do nicely in the meantime.

Unusually snappy for a Nintendo product. So happy. Thanks hiphop!

Why do you think they kept doing this.

How soon before we hear him talking about being contacted by Nintendo?

I love that he didn't post on YouTube. Smart.

I'm really glad Splatoon caught on so much that it's a dedicated icon for Nintendo. I know Pokemon isn't solely owned by them, but are there Pokemon and Kirby icons too? Can you show us some more of them?

It's beautiful.

And just think this is BEFORE the day 1 update. There could be plenty of changes since these left the factory.

Y'all do realize if he says Nintendo can cut their distribution with the particular retailer and dramatically hurt business, right...
Heck I'm sure they've got their people on it trying to track how this happened as we speak.
Of course he realizes it, he'll email Nintendo himself after said store is known.

Don't you dare 'no fun allowed' this wonderful thing

Go tell my dad, I don't even mind.

Nah, the video's cool. People have just been so up in arms about Nintendo not releasing a video of the damn menu, which has been lunacy to me. "WHY HAVE THEY NOT DONE A DIRECT OF THE OS UI?"

Things move quick and it's clean. I'm happy with that. Way better than how slow navigation is on the Wii U and 3DS.

Does it support 5ghz or only 2.4?

According to the FCC filings it does. It supports 802.11ac 2x MIMO with 80Hz bands, so a theoretical maximum of 867Mb/s on 5GHz and 400Mb/s on 2.4GHz. Of course actual wifi speeds never reach the theoretical max, but it puts them on par with high-end phones and tablets, which is pretty big improvement for Nintendo (even the recent n3DS only supports 54Mb/s 802.11g).

Theres no Activity Log...and Zelda doesn't have an ingame timer...which means I'll have to use a timer and manually add up my playtime.

My god Nintendo. Why did you remove the AL? This is fucking ridiculous.

Yeah how dare they not show us the Wi-fi setup screen.

There should have been a dedicated Direct to that alone, to be honest.

Shame, Nintendo.

Yes? drop the exaggeration, maybe not a direct but a freaking introduction to what we are going to be greeted with when we turn our brand new devices on, is that too much to ask?

Shits on Wii U from great heights, but I'm curious what the multitasking and UI looks with games in the background. Thank you so much hiphoptherobot.

Its at times like these I love being part of the videogame community, the collective hype and excitement over what is really a quite mundane (although widely used) feature, warms my heart!

Apparently because there'a almost nothing to show.

Probably because most people don't use it. Why would you want to anyway?

So we can choose icons instead of Miis? How does that work?

You have a pre-set list of icons (characters from Nintendo games) that you can choose to represent your account rather than using a Mii. Also it's optional if you want to make a Mii this time around.
