Thor is a coherent 90 minute narrative with plot structure, character development, and a consistent tone.

Batman vs Superman (at least in the theatrical cut) is incoherent.

I'm not going to defend the theatrical cut because I haven't seen that version, but I enjoyed the UE cut far more than the Thor films. Although, it's not like either Thor or BvS are bastions of quality and neither are leagues above each other, but for me Thor films have been the pits.

Batman vs Superman (at least in the theatrical cut) is nearly impossible to follow.

It needed to die to make Logan great.
There is really a rule that every second X-Men movie is shit while the other is going to be great.

I'm still waiting for the great. lol

DOFP on the first watch was solid but then when I tried watching it again I couldn't shake off Mystique's awfulness. It was really bad.

I'm looking forward to it for the Waititi factor as much as anyone, but he didn't write the screenplay, if that's what you were implying.

Nah, wasn't what I was implying. Just that pointing at Thor 1 & 2 doesn't make much difference if the guys who wrote & directed those two movies didn't write and direct this.

(Yost is doing story on Ragnarok but not screenplay. So completely new writer/director team for Ragnarok.)

Ah, alright. I remembered that old rumour about him working on the screenplay as well, which proved to be false, and thought that you were still running with that, my bad.

I found BvS pretty easy to follow.

It's just what was there was ridiculous, poorly structured, overwrought, and you could pretty much cut out everything in the movie between the first and last 10 minutes and it wouldn't make a difference.

loved BvS up until the Doomsday fight, that last 20-30 minutes was fairly dull. I'm not expecting as much from Justice League because I think there's much less wriggling room involved when making a big superhero team up. It will play out more or less like avengers has.

however I'm pretty damn pumped for more action scenes involving this batman. and also curious about what they'll do with aquaman and flash. i hope they show a glimpse of some water-based action in the next trailer with aquaman. like him summoning a school of sharks and shit lol.

You can make an argument for Thor: TDW being as mediocre as Man of Steel but even that is a far better movie than the dog crap that is Batman v. Superman.

And the original Thor? It's not even a contest when compared to that embarrassment to cinema.

You can use Rotten Tomatoes, an aggregate site based on other people's opinions to try and tell me how good Thor and Age of Ultron are but I'll never agree, because I didn't enjoy either of them and place them at the bottom of the barrel as far as superhero movies go.

But really, I'm shocked that Thor and Age of Ultron are as high as they are. Even Apocalypse is too high on there.

It's also fairly boring outside the action, which is pretty much every X-Men movie so far

BVS, Thor 2, and x men Apocalypse all suck period. Stop trying to compare garbage with garbage just to make one look like better garbage cause in the end they all trash that'll be forgotten with time 😂

Say Doomsday beats Superman and kills him. What the hell happens next in Lex's "genius" plan? Now he has a giant monster runnin' around.

BvS might be the biggest dissapointment ever and one of the worst, if not the worst. Let's compare to all the other bad superhero films.

Batman Forever and Batman and Robin weren't stuck up its own ass.
Daredevil had the director's cut.
X-Men 3 was directed by Brett Ratner what were you expecting.
X-Men Origins at least had Wolverine doing Wolverine things.
Green Lantern... actually Green Lantern is just as bad.
The Amazing Spiderman 1, 2 and Fant4stic didn't even try to hide they were just there to keep the rights.
Thor 2 isn't even that bad of a movie.

Also these movies didn't have embarrassing moments like the jar of piss and "Save Marrrrrrrrrrrthaaaaa!!!"

Batman v Superman is an overly ambitious mess that tries to compete with one of the biggest film franchises ever that fails in every single facet in film making including writing, directing, acting, editing, and special effects (the climatic battle looks like a mid-budget PS4 game ffs) and it's delusional that DC thinks that it would launch an entire slate of spin-offs based off this crap.

It's not about trying to tell you how "good" they are. Thor and Age of Ultron are clearly flawed movies. But they're also more competently made -- especially Age of Ultron -- than the badly edited and terribly written mess that is Batman v. Superman, which is as if the Thor day spa scene lasted for two hours.

What was his plan if Batman successfully killed Superman? He had already started his egg-timer countdown to give birth to Doomsday that had expired before Superman even showed up.

Lex is one dumb motherfucker in BvS. But then so is every character.
