Well this is kind of a bizarre answer.

Polygon said:
As far as future projects, Howard is tight-lipped. He says the company's next games will please fans, but offers few specifics, other than generally praising Fallout 4 on VR, mobile game The Elder Scrolls: Legends and Skyrim coming to Nintendo Switch. On the latter, he “can’t say” whether the original Skyrim or the 2015 remaster will be released.

We do know that Bethesda is working on two "bigger" new projects, but Howard offers no specifics. The Elder Scrolls 6 is also working its way through development, but is unlikely to be seen any time soon.

So far as the future goes, Howard says he just wants to carry on doing what he does. "There's a long way to go. We have so many ideas that we didn't think we were ready for. But given our size now and how the tech is coming together, we can do some of the things that we've talked about for a very long time. Now they are within our grasp."

It's weird as hell how cagey they are about this whole release. That "we can't confirm this is a real game" debacle was fucking insane.

I'm sure there's NDAs and all, but still... So weird.

At least in that case you could say that it was because they were just waiting for the proper reveal. There's no excuse for this.

I'm telling you, it'll be the Special Nintendo Edition with all sorts of Nintendo themed mods and HD rumble support, possibly optional motion controls.

Book it.

I'm expecting it to have some of the graphical upgrades from the SE but not mods. Texture quality is also probably going to be slightly reduced, maybe light shafts taking a hit too.

I am going to assume that this is Nintendo not wanting them to talk about the game yet, and it really is the remastered version. I will be really surprised if I am wrong.

I'll just be over in the corner pretending he can't talk about it because it's going to be upgraded even more than the Special Edition and come with fan-favourite mods pre-installed.

I wonder if development has even begun on it, and if the deal made just let there be trailers in the Switch reveal and the presentation.

Or it's the original and he doesn't want it to be known.

I hope that's the case.

Hilariously embarrassing.

So it's probably the PS360 version or a very cutdown 'enhanced' version then. Top notch third party support on new Nintendo hardware.

It's most likely not.

Comparing the footage we've gotten from it (at the Switch presentation), it seems like it's more than the original, but not as nice looking as the Special Edition. So a custom version for the Switch.

I'm sure it'll be a downgraded version of the remaster, hence why he's hestitant on saying "enhanced"
It probably will be slightly downgraded from the remaster but not hugely. The PS4 Pro version runs at 4k30 on a GPU that is only 2.3x more powerful than the regular PS4, despite putting out 4x more pixels than that version which runs at 1080p30.

It also runs at 1080p30 on the Xbox One, so I think it's safe to assume there is a large performance overhead on the PS4/XB1 versions so a Switch port wouldn't need to be cutback TOO severely.

Textures will almost definitely take a hit though.

Yikes, that's cynical. I like it.

Their job postings list it as something that sounds just like their last few games (FPS, open and/or hub-based world, UE4, narrative focus, maybe some multiplayer).

Excited to see whatever it is when they reveal it. BioShock is one of my favorite games!

I'm guessing/assuming it's the Special Edition, just with some reduced effects. The Switch could pull off something like that pretty easily.

Real question is, will it support mods?
