It's a forzathon challenge for the weekend. Complete an online adventure using either the Holden FX UTE or the International Scout to win the Lola.

I'll be around later today if anyone wants to group up and do some online races.

International Scout is the Blizzard Mountain barn find.

IIRC the Holden Ute is a barn find they added in a patch, or it's one of the later finds. I remember getting it fairly late in the game anyway.

The Lola is absolutely lovely to drive, btw.

No you can just use the ones already in the decal area, when you save it to the car, go back into my designs and click on the car image at the bottom, it will then ask if you want to share it and then askes to enter key words and a name for it.

You can make your own decals and use them, but when you share a design it is locked and cannot be edited, if somebody tries to edit the design it just deletes it so people cannot steal your decals, some people do though upload decals that you can use on your own designs, I asked a couple of pages back here if there was a NeoGAF logo but I couldn't find one.

I have a few designs and paint jobs uploaded, I get the odd download but not many at all, I'm not that good at them really, the thing is you really need to be good at making decals first, I wish I was good at it, but I'm not and I don't really have the time or skills, I just like bright and lurid colours on my cars.

I'm having trouble connecting to online races in the Win10 version, so I'll log online on the X1 version to get that unicorn. Got the Chevelle HE without any issues since that was single player only.

I don't see a problem with that. But it has been a long time since we started that spreadsheet. I would send over a quick message to the folks you add, so they don't think you're some random person.

Also now that we know we can do some of the Forzathon challenges in private lobbies I think we'll do more group events around the challenges.

I just did the playground games in the scout and had it in a few minutes. I upgraded it to s1 class and it zipped around great.

Another glitched achievement. I completed the skills unlocks, but it's only showing 94 percent progress. That's the fourth glitched achievement for me. What's going on here?

That's actually a feature, not a bug. The game explicitly mentions at some point (don't exactly recall when) that driving well/with style gives you more XP than just placing high in a race. It makes even more sense given what you said about people driving clean: clean racing gives you lots and lots of XP, especially if you unlock the corresponding perk.

I get that. Isn't that just for online adventures though? I *think* you may be able to do actual place-based championships with online freeroam or coop, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, if you can nail a huge combo in a race you get massive XP bonuses. It's even worse when you are in first and do all the drifting because you decided to make a car out of something that the forza forums complained about being OP and decided to see for yourself

E: anyone else get gifted the Ford GT HE? This is the second HE car they gifted that I already owned before, they should really adjust the resale value for those in the auction house so people in this situation have an easier time selling them off.

Well, to be fair, the theme of that week's Forzathon was 'Use your barn finds!"

Had great fun on that one, the Holden Ute is surprisingly good with a few upgrades. It helps that I tended to be playing with a field of all Utes and Scouts, as lots of people aimed for it!

I actually got the complete a bucket list thing by rerunning that 150 MPH official bucket list that I already beat, failing at it, then restarting got me the achievement.

For a one-day event something like this is understandable. Most gamers being adults means most gamers have jobs and marriages and kids and the like, so it makes sense that these would be short. But do I wish the weekend FTs were a little bit more involved.

I'm glad it was easy to get. Having players play multiplayer to unlock stuff is a good idea though, it helps remind everyone how fun it can be to play online like that. Just handing the cars out wouldn't be as good for the community imo.

Agreed. Playing MP for a Forzathon got me into it. Now I go play Online Adventures whenever I have some time to kill. I'm even thinking about getting a headset so I can talk to people rather than try to communicate by honking at them.

It shouldn't be hugely time consuming or blocked behind 'you can only use a certain car that is DLC/VIP etc' though.

I also think it would be much better if you were able to click on the tasks and you get taken straight into the event, the number of times there have been things like 'play ten capture the flag games' and it takes ages to find a game, it also should be changed so that it shows how many times you have done something in regards to the task, like 3 out of 10 capture the flag games played, if the time limit is limited then it needs to reflect that in the events required to win.

It's way better compared to the old Unicorns where you had to spend the entire day searching for one in the auction house.

Skills or XP car, AWD, there's a short cross-country circuit in the rainforest you can use. If you do a 20-lap race on it and maintain long skill chains (which is very easy to do there), you'll net 150k XP per race, and since it's a short track that should only take around 30-40 minutes.
