Williams has added two curved sections, offset by maybe 150mm, underneath its t-wing to support it. Even with that addition, it's not stable and it's moving around a lot and so is the shark fin. Williams isn't the only team with that kind of movement, Haas has it as well and, although I haven't seen it up close, perhaps Ferrari. This could be a problem for both the shark fin and the t-wings because if they move around so much, they are not a stable aerodynamic device, which you could argue is illegal. Not only that, but it won't be doing the aero job expected.

We might get lucky after all.

Yeah but is it because they are stickyback plastic and milk bottle creations made overnight or because they didn;t notice this in their weeks of 60% aero testing at base?

Green light!

Is it weird that I want Renault to get better and sort themselves out, but that I would never ever consider buying a Renault?

That's two Renault-powered cars stopping before the first test day is even over.
Get your shit together Renault.

(I don't even know if Ricciardo stopped because of the engine, but I still want Renault to get their shit together)

09:12 Bad news for McLaren. Honda has found an oil systems issue, which requires a full investigation. The team plans to run again today, but "due to the difficult access location, it will take several hours to resolve".

A sensor issue causes @danielricciardo to stop on track… Meanwhile back at the Factory! 😳 Linked?! #BreakSuperstition t.co

From the front, that Red Bull reminds me of something. It's in the "shoulders" above the sidepod air intakes. It really reminds me of something from the 90's that I can't quite place at the moment.

Just spoke to Honda, making clear it's the oil system and not the new oil supplier to blame! Rough estimate of 4-5 hour job

Fuck fuckity Fuck Fuck Fuck.

Please don't be 2015 all over again.

That TR looks sexy, the Mercedes is already out on the track showing off and Ferrari have started well also.

Let us hope the RBR getting stage fright was a one off.

Embrace your inner brotkasten and repeat with me: "Times in testing do not matter. Ferrari will be shit again."
Lol mercedes defence force already salty for losing this year championship. 1 sec difference its not even funny, they will be lapping evryone else in the middle of the race!

It's going to be the fastest and best looking spin we're going to see all day. It's gonna be great.
Why did I read that as if Donald Trump said it?

FML. Is this year going to be the year of the T-Wing? Because along with the shark fins they really make the rear of these cars look a bit ugly, defeating the point of revising the rear wings.

We need Liberty to take over Gaf so we can embed this shit

Have to say I much prefer the Toro Rosso.

I also very much prefer the Toro Rosso. The livery is probably the best I've seen from all teams and I find it awesome how they nailed the nose design - as close to Mercedes as possible.

Also, what Carlos is saying sounds super positive. Seems as if hes happy with it!

I know that taking a screenshot and uploading it is more work, but it's a lot better than embedding them. It's not that crucial for F1, but there's nothing worse than reading an article that is based on a tweet and the tweet got deleted, with no form of backup. Sorry, if I go a bit off topic with that, but it really annoys me. Embedded Tweets are shit.

The car design looks solid and the livery is the best Red Bull type design I've seen.

Let's hope that Renault engine has some poke and we will see TR challenge for the top 5.

Bottas goes 1:23.169 at the start of a 15 ish lap run on Softs.

I can totally understand that for articles, but these threads move fairly fast so it wouldn't be a major loss if a tweet went missing. If it was something THAT huge it'll be capped somewhere anyway.

Part of me hopes That Toro Rosso Renault with the up to date engine can take it to Red Bull Tag Heuer. A clockwork car.

Today's lap count by power unit:
Mercedes - 82 Laps
Ferrari - 63 Laps
Renault - 40 Laps
Honda - 1 Lap

They've certainly captured the spirit of a can of Red Bull perfectly.
