Whelp, I started watching the Netflix series, and now I'm really pumped to watch the race this weekend! lol

Same there are aspects of the series that I really don’t like but it got me really amped up to watch the 22 season. Looking forward to the technical regulation shake up too.

People were saying that Toto would not allow Russell to fight Hamilton... but it seems like George was registered on the FIA as the titular driver lol. I knew Mercedes would not want to spoil their future... although I still have my doubts about his character, the guy cries everytime he commits a mistake or falls short.

Merc suddenly get an improvement burst as everyone was suggesting. Tight in practise though. Red bull issue in pit?

Times with three minutes to go

  1. Max Verstappen (Red Bull) +1:32.544
  2. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) +0.096
  3. Sergio Perez (Red Bull) +0.247
  4. George Russell (Mercedes) +0.391
  5. Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) +0.509
  6. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) +0.577
All on soft tyres.

Pretty awesome stuff in quali today.

Leclerc / Ferrari at Pole?
Hamilton / Mercedes at 5th?
Bottas in a fking Alfa right behind him in 6th?
Kevin Magnussen in a goddamned Haas in 7th!?
Ahead of George Russell in 9th!!??

I never thought I'd see the day where a Haas car out-qualifies a Mercedes.

Can't wait for the race tomorrow.

Methinks this is gonna be a fun season!

Shite. One was out in Q1, the other in Q2, if I remember correctly.
Poor williams

Really interesting to see bottas beat out Russell though. I hope he gets his revenge tomorrow, especially in car like Haas. Sad to see him dumped by Mercedes like that

I think we got ourselves a three way fight this season.
Mercs are gonna hit back hard sooner or later.

and damn that Ferrari livery looks amazing, those tyres.

This is insanely good. Gonna be tough for max to steal that position, hope he doesn't push himself out the race with a dnf

I was hoping Bottas would Russell but in the end they both did good.
Red bull...ouch
Ferrari? Obviously spectacular result for them. I hope to see more good things from Leclerc this season

What a crazy ending today. RBR getting zero points this weekend is insane, and they both go out with less than 10 laps to go!

Very happy to be going to the Australia Grand prix this year. Very much hoping for a nice three way fight between RBR, Ferrari and hopefully Mercedes, if they can get their issues sorted out enough in time to at least be only a couple of tenths off the pace.

So Saudi Arabia is still a shit hole huh.

BBC Sport has learned that a significant number of drivers had concerns about the safety of the event following the attack.

But eventually they were convinced to go ahead and race after being given further information by bosses.

Part of this information involved the possible consequences of not racing, such as how easily teams and drivers would be able to leave the country if the race did not happen.
