I think Matt's on the money that the Molded are fucking boring. After a while you just stop giving a shit about the combat, because you're watching Pat shoot dudes who look incredibly similar most of the time.

Yeah they really missed a beat there. Repetition kills horror so having the same 4 enemy variants the entire game just wasn't great. They could have even just had some half transformed molded with different looking skins. I wish the Bakers were a bit more persistent as well.

Man, Liam's really hyping up NieR: A a whole lot. Guess that's taking the slot after Nioh and Zelda for me this year.
Also, he can get back to Paper Mario.

This Woolie Naruto LP looks really sick. As a legitimate fan and human being who watched every episode of Woolie Vs Reboot, I'm definitely glad for more solo Woolie LP-age. Also, jeeze did Woolie get a lot subscribers really quick.

Woolie doing the heavy roll in Dark Souls makes me giggle every time.

RE7 main game LP done. Pretty great. As one of the big games I'm skipping this, year I'm glad a lot of my favorites (SBFP, RSS, GirlGamerGab, MTQCapture etc) played through it and I got to see it.

....But it is actually. The first phase at least. In fact that was the first thing I thought of during my playthrough when I got there.

Carla is similar to Evie in design but little else. Her fight is a series of action sequence chase scenes before ending with a semi-puzzle while she's a stationary face on the wall.
RE7's boss's framing, mechanics, and pacing are almost a carbon copy of the Birkin slug on the train. The closed space and sheer spectacle of the boss is intended to create a panic in the player to unload all their ammo as fast as possible before the thing reaches them. It's meant to be cathartic and exciting while also masking the fact that neither boss are elaborate opponents. It's a cutscene in real-time that the player is active in rather than an actual fight while the
Carla
fight slows things down with the puzzle aspect.

"This is a flashback from before the dinner!" Pat hurts more than anything, especially since that was my favorite scene in the game and one of the best serious scenes in the series.

Yup. It's like a deflating balloon. The built-up momentum just starts sputtering and wobbling, IMO.

All in all, I still liked RE7 and I'd be happy for the next game to continue with this tone/atmosphere.

I do agree with this, however. The Molded should not have been the default enemy. Their physical design is really cool, but when you're bumping into them so often, their appeal fades away.

What a boring "final boss" for RE7. They really did just give up on designing anything remotely interesting after putting Jack together.

Great LP.

"Forehead McWorstgirl" holy shit I'm going to love this Woolie only channel.

Them getting to gether and maybe seeing a psychiatrist would actually be genuinely interesting, but naruto is the king of " we are going to pay lipservice to actually deep concepts but its naruto so we aren't actually going to do anything about it " and proceeds to do nothing about it and you get... nothing out of it .Also if there were ninja psychiatrists, the entire plot of naruto most likely would have been solved in one chapter.

I finished the Berserk game today and it's fine for what it is but it could have been something special. Basically feels like a PS2 Musou game with a Berserk skin.

Edit: probably the most 6/10 game I've played in ages.

For me, the Berserk game is squarely in the "Yeah, I'll get around to that eventually" camp. I'm not going to bother with it when I have Nioh right here.

Yeah, by the time the third one rolls around it actually looks pretty good considering the style. The eclipse portion alone is worth watching as they totally nail it. The character models in this game are way better than that shitty new "anime"

God being a Berserk fan sucks. I'd rather have nothing than this weak shit.

Miura knows as a Berserk fan the only way you can ever be truly satisfied is once you've suffered as much as Guts. Only when you have been steeped in deepest misery, will you be a proper offering.

"Gambino is a face in the sky!" fucking losing it. This game looks like such trash. Thank god Dark Souls still exists. I've been really enjoying the machinima episodes. For the most part, they all feel like winners, and also at a perfect time for the hilarious amount of games coming out in the next few weeks.

edit: Man, Woolie's brain just melts at trying to figure out how to play Azazel. It isn't that hard, man. I mean, it can be difficult but seriously, just roll with it. Azazel is such an easy-mode character too.

Jeez you guys. It's been over a month and his first run is with a weird flying charge shot character. His first run was gonna be shit just from rust, not even considering learning curve. I'm all for shitting on their shitty gameplay but lets not pretend after a month's worth of rust, anyone here's first (7th? 8th?) run was fantastic.

Also booooooooooooooo! I wanted part 3 Frog Fractions damn it!

Woolie playing The Binding of Isaac is the most Super Best Friends Play thing the Super Best Friends ever Super Best Friended. I hope they record a couple more episodes.

Also, I know it's not going to happen, but I'd LOVE if they got NL in the backseat for a video, or the other way around. My favorite let's players.
