Horizon will easily outsell Zelda. It won't even be close. I expect a load of stupid GIFs to follow too.

Seen trailers on prime time TV, at the cinema, and in the London underground.

I just think both can do very well and one selling less than the other isn't an indication of underperforming. Not really. I don't really see how the system with 0 install base is gonna produce better sales than the system with healthy software sales and millions of consoles already established when we are talking about bigger budget titles.
Is that unreasonable or?
Pretty much. They're both great games that will sell very very well. They're both going to push their console's sales and keep pushing them through the holiday season and beyond.
I feel that works both ways. Since both physical versions are selling out, a decent share of Zeldas sales will likely be digital, or missed sales as people have to wait.
Like yeah, Horizon is likely to beat Zelda in the UK, but if it's close, Nintendo have already left sales on the table.

We're just talking about UK here. The 60M number is closer to worldwide figures.i don't think all that many Switch Early adopters are going to buy Zelda from the eshop, seeing as there's no preloading window, seeing as built in storage is rather limited, etc, and people being definitely more cautious about going digital on a Nintendo console than on the PS4.
Meh, i do feel like a the most hyped exclusive on a system with an install base of almost 60 million should easily outsell the launch title of a new console (+ whatever units they're gonna sell on Wii U, which i doubt will be many ... many of the Switch pre-orders are certainly former owners of a Wii U, thereby the install bases can't really be added due to the overlap)
So, while both games can do great and be considered 'succesfull', i feel Horizon should easily beat Zelda. It's a numbers game, really ... There's simply that many PS4s out there.

Games advertised on buses always do well
Horizon Zero Dawn is being advertised on Buses. Games advertised on buses always do well - I expect Horizon to be Sony's biggest launch since Uncharted 4 and will take the top spot over Zelda.
If bus ads can lead Britain out of the EU, then they can Horizon lead to the top of the charts, too.
Horizon looks great and will sell well but if you think it will outsell Zelda, you are crazy.
You're talking about first weeks sales (results = next week), right?Horizon looks great and will sell well but if you think it will outsell Zelda, you are crazy.
Installed base. The PS4s is huge, and no one even knows how many Switch will be available for the UK market.
So yes, Horizon will sell more, much more.
Nintendo Hardware UK Launch Sales:
Game Boy Advance - 67,000
Nintendo GameCube - 69,000
Nintendo DS - 87,000
Nintendo Wii - 105,000
Nintendo 3DS - 113,000
Nintendo Wii U - 40,000

WiiU installed base in the UK is nothing to be proud off, and I expect many of them to early adopt the Switch.
So going for fw#, I´d put Horizon safely north of 150k, and Zelda around 100k.
I have looked for software data and the best-selling Wii U game was Nintendo Land with 25,700 units sold.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was the best-selling Wii game with around 70,000 units.
Not sure if people actually expected something good for HW2. Console RTS is a dead genre for a reason. Halo Wars was the best selling console RTS ever with just above 2M sales. I would say though it is possible it had some success on PC/Xbox digital because of Play Anywhere but that won't be a lot.
Do we have an estimate for For Honor week 2 so we have a limit to what Halo Wars 2 launched at?
This makes me think Horizon will outsell Zelda, what with the numbers for No Man's Sky and all. There might not be the same crazy hype as there was with NMS, but I think it's comparable.

There are solid reasons as to which game will take the top spot and I can't decide which so should be interesting.
This is retail so 100k Switch won't show 100k Zelda even if you exclude non-Zelda buyers.I guess the question is if Nintendo can conceivably sell 100k Switches or not day 1. I doubt many will be getting one without Zelda. "Oh hey guys, have you seen 1-2 Switch? WHERE ARE MY CARD DETAILS?!"
I think Twilight Princess at 70k right? What's the highest debut for a Zelda game in the UK?

Or did Skyward Sword beat it?

Nintendo Wii - 105,000
Is it wrong to assume that I have a feeling Zelda BOTW may do similar? :/The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword sold about 45,000 units.
Well it is not wrong to feel that but there are two version: Wii U and Switch. Is it wrong to assume that I have a feeling Zelda BOTW may do similar? :/
HW2 doing good.
The continued success of For Honor means it hasn't been an especially strong first week for Xbox's Halo Wars 2, although the Xbox One version of the game was the biggest selling individual SKU of the week. It's also important to note that Halo Wars 2 was also released on PC and is in a genre (RTS) that is typically popular on that platform. Most PC games are sold digitally and those numbers are not included in these charts.
The original Halo Wars did significantly better in its first week, yet the market has changed significantly since February 2009

Also y'all very optimistic about the Switch doing 100k I wouldn't even be surprised if it does half of that(hope In wrong but wouldn't be surprised).
