Switch Pro Controller works nativley with PC

Just saw this on reddit. I was going to hold of from the pro but this might change that if the dpad is good. The 360 dpad is worthless.

This is great.

I'm using my PS4 Gold headset and my DS4 on the PC. I always disliked the redundancy of having multiple peripherals of the same type for multiple devices.

Definitely a nice perk.

Too bad about the digital triggers, but that 40 hour battery life is bonkers.

Good stuff, but I'm good with my DS4.
Worst controller of this generation. I say that as a PS4, XB1, PC and soon Switch owner.

Also have the WiiU Pro controller, which is superb, so I'm expecting the Switch Pro to be as good or better.

RIP Wii U Pro

hopefully PC will be able to take advantage of the gyro because that would be lovely

Well, well, well...

Will wait for more feedback before ordering one, but this would pretty much seal the deal for me.

If only we could get controller standardization for button names and labelling, so that in game prompts would correspond correctly.

Glad to hear the Pro is supported natively. Between 2 DS4, 2 wireless 360 and a Wii U pro controller, I'm amassing a small pc controller army.

For people looking, Amazon Japan still has them and they ship worldwide. Shipped to US it's cheaper than local price with tax.

Bluetooth is laggy for game controllers, but I'm glad it at least works here. What we really need are more pc compatible wireless dongled controllers. Gamesir t1s is looking like the best pc controller at the moment when it comes to compatability and robustness of features.

I love that this is becoming pretty standard now. I still tend to just play wired USB on PC, but the option for wireless is a no-brainer if the interface is already there (or would mean pennies in the grand scheme of things).

I know OP said Dolphin, but has it been tried with an native Xbox Controller game?

Are the buttons still mapped to the letter? Where the on screen icons are correct, but the placement is inverted.

Won't make me stop using my Wii U pro controller with the Mayflash adapter, as I really like the symmetrical sticks, but cool!

What's the rumble situation on PC? I'm guessing the APIs available now probably won't work with the haptic feedback in the Switch controller.

With the Steam mapping, this doesn't really matter

So... That kinda confirms the Switch connects to the different controllers using Bluetooth, right?

Either way, I'd really need to get a gander at the controller before I'd put down that serious money on it. The thing looks rooough.

Its honestly all legit subjective.

I hate the clicky RB/LT or whatever sboulder buttons of Xbox controllers, plus they got asymetrical sticks. Im not on board with that. And furthermore, they dont hold a candle the dualshock's directional pads.

Now the switch Pro controller follows suit with the same asymetrical design and has an even worse d-pad than Xbox One.

Dualshock 4 is almost perfect.
