The stuff about reviews of Faces of Evil and Wand of Gamelon today blew my mind. I played Wand of Gamelon after the Grumps played it the first time, and while I do think the game is *slightly* better than people give it credit for, it's still pretty awful.
I will say that I get what Danny means about feeling weirdly attached to the CD-I games. Since I played Wand of Gamelon, I feel kind of fond of it, even though it's complete garbage.

I'm enjoying it a lot. It's a long game. I don't care if they try and get through it faster. As long as they don't drop it. It's not often Danny gets to be in control and shows a lot of enjoyment for a game.

The tree is the worst part of TYD, so once they're done there the game (and videos by proxy) will improve dramatically.

Yeah, it doesn't look unplayable but holy hell is the level design and enemy placement atrocious. It's like they first drew the backgrounds and then tried to make sense out of platforming on them instead of the other way around so it's really hard to tell where you can actually go, and it certainly doesn't help having enemies that can spawn on top of you and basically stunlock you to death.

Yeah, they really didn't take into account making sure platformed parts of the paintings are clearly marked. Just some simple darkened lines would have done a world of difference.

They keep skipping the best parts of the Luigi conversations. They picked up that what he tells you is spectacular and probably not true, but they're not getting the payoff by talking to his partners.
One of the funniest parts of the game. Excited for them to get to Glitzville though. Easily one of the best parts of the game.

I really hope they do a 4-parter where they play Job Simulator. NerdCubed did episodes for all four of them and they were amazing. Watching Arin do his thing in this game made me realize he'd be really fun to watch in those games.

And now we have Resident Evil back! Is it VR or not? I've already watched ProJared and BestFriends play through the game. I was hoping for him to go back to VR but I'd understand if he didn't.
I wonder what the 5PM episode will be if the Sonic episode wasn't supposed to be it. Also it looks like a one-off. Maybe whoever scheduled it accidentally hit AM instead of PM. Most likely scenario. So this is probably our second video for today already.
I wish they'd tell us what's going on with the middle 3PM slot. I wish they'd just put up a third Grumps episode or something for now.

I'm still really curious what part of return to innocence's music video has native americans in it or how Arin thought that. It still puzzles me to this day.
This might shock you, but it's possible that Arin has no goddamn idea what he's talking about.
That being said, the animated version says it's taiwanese aboriginal, and I don't really see that, either.

So they, or rather Danny, finally figures out they can sleep in the bed to restore their health. You know, the thing you can do in pretty much every single RPG.
I'm gonna save Zelda for tomorrow. I really wish all my favorite 'Tubers weren't jumping right into Zelda. I mean I understand why, but I don't own it yet and I don't want to spoil myself so badly yet. I mean this isn't The Last Guardian, which I'll never play myself because I will never own a PS4, so I don't mind watching the Super Beard Bros play through it. This is Zelda. I want to play it so bad. But who knows when I'll be able to. Unless Switch's are super common in stores. I almost want to go out tomorrow in search of one. I have $350 in (Visa/Mastercard) gift cards. Give it to meeeeeeeee! But I digress...

I mean, they're just playing through the game. All they've done is gone through like 3 shrines. It's still tutorially, learning the items and cooking.
I am enjoying watching the BotW videos so much. I can't even imagine how many episodes it will end up being either. We are days in now and they still haven't really done anything major yet at all. It's fun watching anyone play the game though, it's made for this sort of thing, few videos will be the same.

Reading the comments of the BotW and TTYD videos is hilarious. Every video there's dozens of people complaining and subsequently dozens of people saying they don't read comments.
Apparently Arin missed the way to upgrade his hearts and stamina so until someone tells him, he's stuck at the lowest amount. Plus numerous chests including a super obvious one that was shown throughout the cutscene with the old man. He also doesn't know you can quick-equip weapons.
I know nothing about TTYD, but some stuff is funny to watch people rage at. It took Danny like 8 episodes to figure out he can sleep in the bed to restore HP and FP. And people constantly whining about his choice of moves in battle or not upgrading his partners. Then there's the voice Arin gave to Grubba...

Even with the five minute warning from Arin at the beginning of the video that his interview with the two anime guys was going to be really awkward, I had to stop watching the video because it was too awkward.
