Mine didn't and it wasn't like the person didn't enter a code or anything. His system just didn't auto double when he added Switch digital games. It went up by an additional $2.

I just learned that you can choose which province's/territory's sales tax to use in the Nintendo Switch eShop. Doesn't that seem like it's just giving people the option to pay the lowest amount of tax possible?

You could do that on the Wii U and 3DS too. It's technically tax fraud if you lie, and I don't think Nintendo is responsible for that anyways.

I guess "Everything Switch except digital." Boo. Oh well, I didn't dump everything with them yet. I'll go back once Pro Controller is in stock.

I got double credits towards the switch digital stuff(with $10 games).

Did your CSR override the promo? Because I was watching the screen and it didn't auto double when my guy added the digital games to my "order".

Either way, I'm still somewhat content with what I got in the end.

I also pre-ordered ARMS so maybe that's why I got double credits on the whole order...

According to RedFlag EB is no longer accepting trades of old sports titles like NBA, NHL etc. It makes sense but sucks for easy trade credit.

Just used all my credits for a neon Switch at my local EB!
Got my 2x towards Switch on my copies of Infamous Second Son, The Order 1886 and Metro Redux. Each scanned at $20 each. I didn't even ask. Moved my preorder filler credits over without a question as well.

So I guess my trade-in madness could final end here. Two fully paid-off Switches+ 1 x Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Will move it to a Pro Controller if I can find one locally) + ARMS.

Almost too good to be true.

I sold Little Big Planet 3, Infamous: Second Son, Lego Movie Game, Gears Ultimate Edition, Metro: Redux, an Xbox One game I already forget and The Division for $140something towards Switch stuff last night in Ontario.

the problem im having is that the hdmi switch will switch to the nintendo switch when in sleep mode, i had the same issue with the wiiu but was able to fix it with the wiiu but dont think i will have the option to do so on the nintendo switch

Evryone with the KS8000 TV also have the same issue, I have to remove my switch from the dock everytime I'm done to solve this.

SWITCH ESHOP PRICES UPDATED

On the Switch Eshop they just revealed the Cdn prices for a couple of upcoming games:

Binding of Issac: Afterbirth+ - $49.99 vs $54.99 Retail
Has Been Heroes - $24.99 vs $29.99 Retail
Puyo Puyo Tetris - $54.99 vs $54.99 Retail

It was announced earlier in the year that the digital version of Puyo Puyo Tetris would be cheaper, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. If you have a Amazon Prime account and want any of these games (minus Has Been Heroes since it's published by EB) it seems like that may be the best deal.

I tried the demo and didn't like Puyo that much as I'm not into puzzle games but still.

The US eshop also has the same price as the physical. Dunno which one's wrong, the announcement/news/orwhateverthatwaslol or the price at the shop. The site might not be the eshop price too, that's another possibility.

US eshop: $39.99
Physical at gamestop: $39.99

I have a feeling EB may have reduced trade in values. Took advantage of the double trade in for one game towards Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and I thought I would get more. Not complaining with the amount I did receive though.

If turning off hdmi cec didnt work for you, only other solution appears to be turning off Switch manually (ie not sleep mode).

And pre-ordered and paid off Mario Kart with the credit I received

They wouldn't accept NBA live 14, madden 25 or MLB the show 14
