Anyone know what is the different between the gray activity and the blue activity?

Did anyone test download speed on switch in comparison to Xbox one and ps4
Switch (5GHz Wi-Fi) is faster than my PS4 (Ethernet).

Switch (2.4GHz Wi-Fi) is slow and unreliable, at least for me.

I get it to use 5GHz by banning it from my 2.4GHz network through my router admin.

In case anyone cares, Amazon France got back to me about the faulty Joy-Con (way too much Spiel while attached to the tablet). They're offering me to replace the entire Switch (hell no), the pair of my grey Joy-Con or a refund of 57€. I'm getting the refund. I'd like to order a Neon pair from Germany for 76€. That would make the second set of controllers just 20€ for me and I'll have four controllers.

Yep, it went back to the credit card. Just ordered a new pair of neon from Amazon Germany for 77€. 20€ for the pair, can't complain.

I've been thinking...

at what point should we realize and admit 3rd parties have dissed nintendo homeconsole's hardware once again for a complete generation?

should we wait a full year to see if hardware sales + plus Nintendo's own games make the switch a strong viable platform for everyone else, or is all just a delusion?

I think it's not even been a full month, ya fookin' ninny.

lol I am just saying..

see, we had that thread with the disney games which is a slap in the face for Switch owners, but without going there yet again....

for me 3rd parties are the yearly IPs that commonly appear on every console under the sun,

stuff like Fifa, Madden, CoD

is switch getting that?? serious question I am quite disinformed about this

I'm starting to think I'd have rather had dual 3DS style thumbsliders instead of the just-too-small thumbsticks.

Really starting to be an issue playing Zelda. No where near enough travel for the precision I'd prefer.

May become a bigger issue when the first big FPS or 3D platformer hits.

I accept and respect your opinion, but I don't agree. I do think anatomical variation is a big factor, though.

I have small to medium sized hands, and the Switch joycons feel fine to me. I quickly adapted to controlling the right stick with the center of my thumb instead of the tip, and it works well. As for precision, they seem fine. But I only use them in handheld mode, for the most part. In TV mode I use my Pro controller, which is excellent and more universally ergonomic.

So I came home today and saw that my switch was on. It was displaying an error message, which I of course have forgotten.
The thing now is, the splatoon test fire demo is gone and I cannot redownload it from the eShop, as it says that I've already bought it.
Had anyone else experienced this and is there a fix?

Have you tried seeing if the data is still in your system through settings? If not, perhaps actually turning the system off will sort it out.

I have rebooted the system and it is nowhere tot be found in Data Management.

But while fidling arround I found the redownload option.
Thanks :)

Receding my Switch next week, chose the Grey version due to me not liking the Blue and Red colors on the Neon.

I have already Zelda, Snipperslipc and 1-2 Switch ready. Im considering Binding of Isaac, but Im not sure due to I already own Isaac, Goo, Human Resource, Setsuna, and Inferno on PC and other plattforms already (own Isaac also on Vita).

With the recent some kind of partnership between Konami and Nintendo with Super Bomberman R, and the history of PlatinumGames and Nintendo with Bayonetta 2, can we see a possibility of MG Rising 2 be funded by Nintendo??

I'll have you know World of Goo is a lot more fun with either the motion control or the touchscreen.

I'd like to see that go the other way: make the ps4 remote play app available on the switch... it's the perfect remote play device!

Nintendo should focus on Indie developers, not the big studios. Indie games are a great fit for this platform and fit better with Nintendo's philosophy than the bigger games. The smaller download size is also a good thing for gamers on the go.

Absolutely. A really strong foundation of independent games with the Nintendo first party releases to add the magic.

Yup, I am extremely surprised this does not exist yet, 1st or 3rd party really. Hope it won't be too long.

First-party? Nah, I'm not surprised. It looks goofy and dorky, honestly. Nobody would catch me using that, and I would not need it at home.

You want to play an FPS with that?

If it provides more travel for more precise control, absolutely. Better than the micro-thumbsticks.

Yeah, I have larger hands but that has nothing to do with it. The thumbsticks just don't seem to have enough travel for really precise movement. You barely move it and you're already at 50%.

So I got my 3DS stand for the low low price of $8.

It is surprisingly perfect for what I wanted which was a Nintendo branded stand for my Switch that doesn't have ridiculous viewing angles and allows charging with a powerbank.

There is no angle adjustment like what the Hori stand and clones offer but it was readily in stock and cheap. It folds up nice and small and is the angle that I wanted it to be already. You might already have one of these that came with Kid Icarus.

It's not super stable with the joy cons attached but it is perfectly stable with just the tablet.

Depends what people want the Switch for.

For me it's for the Nintendo exclusives and smaller downloadable titles like indie games. Reason for why it doesn't matter is because even if Switch had these multiplatform games id rather buy for r my PS4 Pro where i get better graphics and get to play against friends online.

I haven't bought a Nintendo console for multiplatform games since the SNES. Obviously a few odd exclusions like Soul Calibur 2 for GameCube

So you probably need to ask yourself what am i buying a console for. If COD etc are your top priority and you have yet to have a system to play these games i suggest you get a PS4 over a Switch. For me as it's my secondary system these games dont matter. It's all down to the individual and what they need i guess. If it isn't what your looking you are better of skipping it as waiting in hope for 3rd party multiplatform games to be common is delusional.

That one posted is first party and it looks... very good. For what it is, of course.

Don't worry, you're never gonna net cool points for playing a handheld console no matter the setup. Embrace the dorkness :p

I'd probably mostly use it at home in bed, regardless.

I currently shamefully pay a monthly rental fee for the Xfinity modem+router. It's only 2.4 GHZ. Seems like I should swap it out for newer hardware.

Crap. Then again, Sony is not Nintendo is not Sony :p.

Again, with the kickstand, I don't really see the point of this if you're at home. At least Nintendo probably doesn't see the point anyway.

Switch WiFi seems to work fine and downloads fast on 2.4GHz for me, and the router is on a different floor too. Signal strength doesn't seem any different than what my phone gets.

edit - system was just frozen - I wasn't holding down the power long enough. 12 seconds seems a bit extreme but it worked- system is back up now.

I got this, they're okay.. The only problem is the constant need to pair. It doesn't remember my headphones, it's annoying to hold down the pair button every single time.

Am I doing something wrong?
I don't know, mine auto connects all the time. Sorry :-/

Why do I have to select a user every time I wanna start a game or the E-shop when there is only one user registered on the system?
It really annoys me, is there a way to disable this?

Yes, somewhere in the settings.

EDIT: Just checked, Settings>Users>Skip Selection Screen - ON

Here's the mystery icon I was talking about before.
Notice it has no title when selecting it.

I tried to update software and it says it's up to date.
Tried Other, but you can't select the info.

This is just what you see when you "archive' software. Meaning, its on your account, and you see the title in your list, but the game data is not local at present. You click it and it redownloads the software.

If you "delete" the game data it also removes the game from your game selection list.

I figured. Yeah.

Wondering something. Hows the brightness level compare to the Wii U gamepad? Does the Switch at 50% brightness is equal to let say 100 ( level 5 ) brightness on the Wii U gamepad?

The back of my Switch has gotten slightly scuffed, only noticeable under the right lighting but it looks almost like oily handprints but they don't wipe off. I don't know if it's from the dock or my carrying case or what. The system does seem unfortunately fragile with regards to scratching and scuffing.

I can't see playing an fps with either. In Zelda I find myself using the nasty gyro for precision scouting and such because Jo matter how small I move the stick it jumps around too much

I'd say the using the gyro for precision adjustments is the most accurate aiming method I've used with a controller.

After playing well over 100hrs of Zelda with the pro controller, I gave portable mode a try for a couple of hours this morning and it's pretty terrible from an ergonomic standpoint. Not quite 3ds bad, but it isn't a whole lot better.

Did you enjoy the Wii U gamepad? How does it compare? Im probably one of the rare here but i really enjoy the Wii U gamepad. I got no problem playing Zelda on wii u with it.
