I mean, I'm just playing Blitz 1vs1 to boost cards and 25 matches, but the matches are kinda nice balanced. Me at Level 9 playing against Level 30+ people. Would probably be an AMAZING EXPERIENCE if I actually played and don't just stay in the base spamming low energy cards.

What a garbage mode. lol
 
Just got done playing my first 3 games, Cutter Cutter Atriox in 2v2/3v3 Deathmatch. Won all three, I still got it. Didn't build an ultimate in either of the games, but I killed plenty. The game feels good.

Yeah, I'm thinking I might need to build a deck like this. I've been running across a lot of recent players who seem to be calling in super-units left and right, and it's tough to fight off.

Am I going crazy or did they just straight up remove the Sentinels from Anders?

I played a couple Skirmish matches against AI and ´they are just not there anymore. Checked every building and nothing.

It is your second leader power. So once you get the leader power you can build them out of primary bases, but not side bases.

Thanks. Needed it for the achievement where you need to recycle your own base against an Legendary AI in the 1st 5 minutes and it was a piece of cake with it.

For those on PC, anybody know if this supports 21:9?

Definitely does...playing on my 21:9 monitor and is working great

BTW don't know if it was mentioned but with my 750ti i was having no end of problems...slowdowns after changing settings and just hard crashes....last update seemed to take care of all of them...haven't seen a major issue since then

The "Minibase counts as HQ" toggle is a dead setting.

Tried to go for the 100 Heals achievement and saving me some trouble by just letting the AI have a minibase, but as soon as I killed his real HQ, the game ended...

Also, why is the A Button cancelling out the radial menu? That is such a stupid decision and I see myself upgrading bases, buildings an powers several times, because it just won't register.

Drat. Interested in those balance changes, and hoping the glitches achievement gets fixed with them.

Yeah, I hope Anders Sentinels will be adressed, i.e. nerfed. Looking at after match statistics against halfway good Anders players is really frustrating. Something is really off there...

also i've still yet to win with randos in Domination in the 3vAI playlist. Either the AI is really good at pressing or people literally do not know to get the points instead of trying to tech up and wipe the AI's bases.



edit: it's neat there's an option to let you turn fog of war off. The upside is it lets you get some skirmish acheevos easier, and let you learn and teach stuff, the downside is it lets everyone build on any base slot on the map, so for example in Strongholds you can claim every Stronghold in the first few seconds. For the option to be more viable as an actual toggle they should add another option that enforces having units near a slot to build on it.

Yeah when I was still on 360 while everyone moved onto the One, I had to pain-delete a lot of people just to add more for Rock Band 3 until I finally upgraded.

Guy last night tried to push me with a Condor and a retriever, needless to say, my reavers and scarab made quick work of them.

Love this game.

Ult units in this game are made out of paper. You definitely need to give them support units, see too many randos hope their ult unit will win the game for them.

Yeah, if you have the right counter, the ultimate units can be melted without proper support.

I try to have a couple engineers with my scarab along with counter units for whatever my opponent has ready to battle my scarab.

When using the unsc though, I typically haven't been using the ultimate units very much...

Which I think is how it should be, right? You shouldn't be able to steamroll a player with a single unit.

In general, it seems like a lot of the better leader powers are about reinforcement and AOE control rather than pure damage dealing.

yeah the balance for them feels about right. I use them to creep around and destroy outer bases/micro them to the back of the pack.

What's crazy is the AI knows how to hard counter them. I had two Condors with Marines going around and the AI doubleteamed them with Close Air Support and the Turret while hitting me with anti air units. My Condors just melted.

I also love the detail of the Condors being so massive and heavy that they take forever to turn around if you move them. they'll strafe backwards to move first.

Yeah that's a really meaty balance update, which I'm pleasantly surprised about. Even the big PC RTS don't usually change that much early on. Looks like the sentinels got their nerf and tanks a buff, so that's my biggest complaint right there.

Some really good changes. Don't skimp on reading the initial information in the link folks, one of the devs goes into detail on why some changes took place. There is a separate link that takes you to the bullet point listing of the patch notes, but it was a great read on why the devs were making some changes.

I stopped playing a little bit since I was getting a little frustrated with some of the bugs, but it looks like thinks are changing for the better and can't wait to play some more.

I would be remise if I did not say this: 343i really needs to get Dan Ayoub some help, he has been responsible for 2 of the big screw ups when it comes to 343i output. While Halo 4 and Halo 5 were not too bad at release, both Halo MCC and Halo Wars 2 launched with way too many issues and the thing in common was that Dan was in charge. I love the guys passion, but he definitely needs some support because he has had 2 major releases under his helm and they both have not gone well. Main reason it upsets me is that I am sure we lost a lot of community due to the issues with the game. Really glad they are putting in the effort to fix things at a much quicker pace than with MCC and DLC support sounds really good...so hopefully Dan can ensure things are turned around quickly and redeem himself.

In it, there's an E-War infantry unit called the Operative. Were they cut from the game, or are they going to be introduced as a special unit later on?

and yeah, it was really true that once you hit tech 3, it's straight to the ults.

edit: wars 2 stream. quality of play not guaranteed, and i guess sort of weird limbo time until the new balance patch hits anyway

thank god, sentinel nerf! sounds like there was a significant damage bug (dev comments to changes).

good changes, but early game seems quite slowed down. i liked the early pressure. lets see how it turns out.

Sounds great! Would love to see a ranked firefight so we can earn xp by playing it though. That's the only thing I would add at this point.

Finally a fix for the cheap Anders sentinels rush. Too much power, no skill involved in those lol.

I have only played 1 3v3 out of like 50 or so matches...ugh been waiting for a special playlist for it

I have noticed that Cyclopes + Wolverines vs engineer + scarab armies can cancel out pretty nicely. Pressure ends up on who can rebuild fastest - which is kinda crazy

Also your teammates can make or break the game when such an event happens. Some of my most exciting matches have been with that combo

What's the best way to approach camo bases and units? All I know is to have a scout unit accompany your units but they can get killed pretty fast...

Is the DLC out, because the Achievements Certainly are?

All relatively easy and MP ones are obtainable in Skirmish which is good.

Edit: Appareantly it is.

So Blitz 1v1 is in fact removed, which bothers me. Why do we really need both casual and ranked 2v2 and 3v3, splitting the player bases for those player counts, but can't support 1v1 which had reasonable matchmaking times on XBox whenever I tried and usually on PC. And if PC can only have one of them ranked, shouldn't it be 2v2?

Now that death match has been heavily patched hopefully I'll get more into that as the core game mode, and the changes sound good, but like I said earlier Blitz 1v1 was my go to for jumping on alone for half an hour to play a few quick games for fun or to clear the challenges.
