Ending A and B are only the appetizer. The real Taro starts here. Holy shit. This is easily my game of the year and I'm not even close to done yet. Route C story speculation
With all humans dead it seems Red Eye has evolved into a virus and has turned machines and androids into Legion. Wow. I could be wrong though. Taro could be trying swerve me.

Route A

just did the
forest castle
and met
A2 (and then went back for the treasure sidequest)
, story wise how far until the ending (of Route A obviously)?

also whats up with all the dead bodies near the (again Route A)
3 robots (one of them in a suit) in the machine village
, do people try to fight them? is there a reason to?

Well I've just finished the five routes and holy shit what a brilliant game that was, hell it could even be close to game of the year for me. I did the good thing and
wiped my save data to help someone
because I'm gonna do a brand new playthrough and try to get 100 percent.

After the platinum trophy, I plan to do the same.

And another in the Desert.

Really? I got to check it out. Roughly whereabout?

No shit. So it was a joke! A good one.

So, early game question. Well, by which I mean I've not finished Ending A yet, and I don't know how far, or indeed need to know. Part of the fun is the mystery, after all.

So,
I just beat Adam in the Copied World. But the thing is, I only found that because I was just looking for treasure in the alien ship with my new scanner and didn't remember the elevator nearby it. So I essentially found my way through the plot very quickly by accident. But was there anything I missed on the way? Any cutscenes, chats, anything of note while hunting for 9S? The Pod was talking about bodies of water, so the flooded city would have been the obvious place, but I didn't check there and ended up getting on with the plot and that.

If you go to the Flooded City first you'll find an injured android that saw 9S get blasted toward the area with the Copied City. They mark it on your map. In the end you just saved yourself some time.

Oh, that's good. Thanks. And here I was, trying to waste time and I ended up being productive.

Where can I find memory alloys? Also, where are the rest of the sound data for the music tracks at the resistance camp? I could only get the first two

Sorry if it's been posted before, but I love the last sentence in Jim Sterling's review.

"If history forgets this game, then fuck history."

Hah, that's pretty good. Seriously though videogames are done as far as I'm concerned, and I haven't even gotten to ending E yet.

One of my favorite parts was (around 2nd boss)
the robot orgy clanking into eachother saying..."love..*clank*...love..*clank*...love...*clank*
shit had me dyin. I love how the robots are programmed to express human emotion, but they're friggin robots so they're terrible at it! I almost feel bad for them, they try so hard.

Slowly working through it, even though I'm certain that probably the first 2/3 of the game has been spoiled for me.

Finished route A last night with 20 hours on the clock. Seriously, going to stop messing around and play the story now.

The ending was great
and I really bought into 2B's emotional transformation over what was happening with 9S. I felt that the english voice actress really pulled it off, and I'm normally not a fan of dubs
. Even more interesting, 2B's comments [potential route C spoilers]
in closing seem to hint at what is about to happen to her.
I didn't care for
Adam and Eve as the main antagonists
. Their delivery was a bit too anime tropey for me.

Really enjoying the first hour or so of route B. I'm enjoying some of the changes
and I dig 9S as a main character for awhile. I think his voice actor does a good job of pulling him out of the hole that Raiden in the MGS series fell into
.

So I did this quest from this girl at the Resistance Camp that ask me to find some dude
found him dead at the desert. Of course, the right thing to do in games is usually telling her the truth
... but after doing it I remembered Im playing a Yoko Taro game.
She's fucked, right?lol

I was really excited when I finally got missiles for my pod but after using them a bit, I don't like them very much. They do a lot more damage than the gatling but they keep locking on to poor boars that are like a mile away and the explosions make it hard to see what the enemy is doing since I tend to fire as I attack.

If you are using
9S
then
hacking
is your friend. Also, remember that
fighting might not always be the answer
.

Hahaha.

Just got done with the
Forest Castle where the 2A fight is
.

Been loving this game after finishing Zelda. I hope to get, at least, one route by the end of the week.

Music has been great too. My favorite OST so far this year, but I have a lot more of this game to play.

Just got an A170 scanner to find something that needs to be found. Anyone mind dropping me a hint. Seems like I've just to run around a bit mindless lol. I'd search online but I always worry when I look up things for a game like this spoilers will be everywhere. Cheers

You are referring to the scanner
looking for Yorha black box signals?
You need to use the scanner in the flooded city area.

Just got all the major endings. Well
for whatever reason the powerup won't show up for me in the credits sequence(maybe because I chose to play off the network?) so halfway into ending E. Which is fine by me for now since there's some side quests I want to go back to before making the final decision

Overall, this game was the shiznit. I loved every minute of it. Hope it sells well.

Okay, so I'm doing route B right now, and I'm very frustrated with the
We Must Become Gods sequence bc I don't know where to go. The map being non helpful is making it worse. I can't even find the damn elevator, and going against the conveyor belts with the presses is so terrible

You couldn't have timed this post better, since I just asked a question about that over in the spoiler thread.

So you were playing through the credit sequence and you opted not to connect to the network, right? What happened after that; did you just keep dying over and over again and the game kept asking you if you wanted to give up until you eventually did?

Got Ending A.

Now to route B.

I like the game so far but don't get the huge fuss.

Combat is amazing, story is good.

But it is nothing on NIER 1's story and the emotions I got from playing that game.

I guess given some of the Ending A + B being appetizers posts here...I have basically only scratched the surface on the game.

I sure hope so.

I'm using
2B, can you swap now or something?
No the game will
change the characters
for you. If you haven't reached that part then I guess you just have to somehow beat those enemies normally.

it's far too hard,
i'm not making a dent in this level 60 lol. I just looked at a video and apparently some cut scene is meant to trigger but it just hasn't for me.

Route A/B: I'm gonna blow their minds

Route C and onwards: Hold my beer

Hmmm.... It's weird. I don't remember having any problem in that part of the game.

Oh yeah. Especially when you connect all the small dots together. This game is something else.

Hmmm.... It's weird. I don't remember having any problem in that part of the game.

I've run around the entire city and killed all the groups i found, the only thing left is this level 60 giant robot and i've been chipping away at it for a good 15-20 minutes now and it's just killing my interest in the game.

that place can get a little confusing, sorry i can't help much but all i can remember is that you need to go up.
i remember there is a elevator near a save point but it doesn't work because 9s need to hack it

Yeah, unfortunately I don't remember that part very well, sorry.

Guys, if anyone remembers the beginning of route C, please help out sora87 here. Thanks.

Don't forget
You can hack into other machines while you're in a machine. Specifically.... flying ones

1 hour in, already got the
T ending by ejecting a vital chip from my system loool
I'm really wary of what the game throws at me. I feel it's going to be good

i think you need to kill it, you should probably use some of the item for double damage. what's your level? you should be ok if you're at least in the 40 and have some chips for battle. any weapons at lvl 3?

I'm level 37, got one weapon at level 3.
This kinda huge difficulty spike is kinda bullshit, does it carry on like this? Cause I might just watch the rest if it does.

Oh goodness, Route B began with
the same menu adjustment settings I made all the way at the start. Multiple selections of On/Off for self destruct included. I know it said recording, but I honestly forgot all about it. Nice touch.

Such a simple idea, but so cool when it happens.
