Good I'm in Snyders camp at least he doesn't ripoff popular movies styles.

Ah, thank you. I thought I saw somewhere about it taking place earlier, even though there was nothing to say so in the film.

Then what does that make BvS and Suicide Squad?

I meant Darksouls as in when the fans rush and say every game and genre should be Darksouls

Get Inside Her!
Lotta focus on the Avengers building even though the Avengers left it a few movies back. I bet it's just dusty office furniture in there. Maybe he makes a sick little spider nest in one of the closets.

The deal was they still get creative control for the films, so yeah Sony is still running the show.

Feige has said that Marvel is making the creative decisions for Homecoming. Marvel cast Tom Holland, they worked on the script, they made the movie, and Sony produced it.

How can Peter Parker afford $400 headphones? I thought he was a dumpster diver for tech.

He got them with Sony Rewards points. The Sony Rewards site where you can earn fantastic Sony products just for using your Sony Rewards Card for your everyday purchases. Apply now!

I don't know guys this is totally Deadpool. Clearly marvel just photo shopped spider man into a deadpool poster.
And the marketing is what, silly? Tongue and cheek? That's what Spider-Man is.
Nah man Deadpool was the original tongue and cheek character.

I love how the focus of these are not spider-man, but the avengers tower.

Basically the marketing of this is: "MCU movie: featuring spider-man".

Yeah but they're quite mediocre at it. Dead pool one awards for their marketing campaign (I didn't particularly care for it but I at least recognised the effort). This by nature of coming after it will always have been compared.

This is simply some low effort marketing.

Yep. That's how the first trailer was cut too. I think Sony does have a big hand in the marketing, they definitely want to get the word out. That's why Tony was so prominent in it.

Love it.

The more they make it a part of the extended universe, the better. So I really like those Avenger tower shots.

I don't believe it was that simple, I mean they still own the rights and are footing the bill, yet are not making the creative decisions or at least heavily involved in the process? No way in hell Sony will still have the final say on a lot of things and I think lessons that were failed to be learned will rear their head.

Not to mention the 30 spin-offs they want to make from this movie, this could get complicated very fast and it's why I don't have my hopes up at all really.

So good.
Opening night. Can't fucking wait.

I'm really surprised they didn't drop a new trailer with Beauty and the Beast.
A new trailer has to be right around the corner at this point. Maybe with Fast & Furious 8?
I refuse to call if by it's real name

That probably has a lot to do with Sony. It's the best way to wash away the stink from the last few Spider-Man movies by stating at every opportunity possible that this one has nothing to do with those.
