That happened to me at first. I had to hold the power button down on the switch to restart it. Worked straight away after that.

I just tried my LAN connection and still got the same error results haha
I was not on board with this game at all. decided to trey the test fire and now im a day 1 buy. damn it. I am having server issues. unsure if its my console placement or what bc the streams i see have been completing games. I keep getting dropped. Great fun when it works though!
Didn't even need to restart, this worked immediately. Cheers. Weird though.

Played 6 matches in a row with no problems. Went super smooth game to game. This is my first time playing Splatoon, all I've done is watch some streams today. I was on the winning team every time and I ranged from 2nd to last on my team over the 6 games. Really fun game and will definitely pick it up at release.
Deleting and re-downloading the game allowed me to connect

Played for half an hour. It worked great. It still looks like a great game!
But I played Splatoon on WiiU to death and I don't see much of a difference here.
I won't double dip, but if it gives an opportunity to new people to play it, it's cool!

I forgot how much fun Splatoon is, only had time for 30 mins, but it felt great. Pro controller with gyro worked great. I'm tempted to dig out my Wii U copy, though I imagine at this point everyone playing would destroy me with ease.
I believe if you hit + on the weapon select screen you can turn it off.

Struggled to get in. Got in. Disconnected 3 times before I saw anyone on the opposing team. I'll try again tomorrow. My $60 is still in my wallet for now.

Try turning off motion controls
I had to completely turn off the Switch and turn it back on to get it working. Just resetting wouldn't work for me.
My connection was shit until I connected and then it was rock solid, WIFI connection btw

Not sold on the game yet. The motion controls are not good. I didn't know I could turn them off until a few minutes ago. I played one match with them off and instantly became great at the game. Control stick is a million times better.
The different weapons are cool but I hope there is more to the game. So far it's interesting but doesn't seem worth a full price purchase. Never played the first Splatoon at all.

4-2 so far. Not sure my splat ratio, but I'm getting 2nd on the team pretty much every time.

Definitely not. I'm terrible at the game and consistently coming in first on my team. Such is the nature of open tests.
