Should Superman eventually appear in the trailers?

Snyder's leaving nothing to chance this time. He's applying the tried and true orange and teal poster color scheme to an entire film.

That looks pretty bad. Fuck me, Batman looks like he came straight out of a video game. If you would have told me this was a trailer for the next Injustice game, I would have believed you.

You know how the Scotsman in Samurai Jack is just this huge lumbering dude that has the time of his life killing stuff?

That's what Aquaman needs to be. He couldn't give less of a fuck what happens to the land-dwellers, he's just bored and wants to do something for once.

The weirdest thing for me is how schizophrenic the trailer feels. You got the trademark MCU "funny" and "witty" banter between the heroes, and the cheesy Iron-Man music that wore out its welcome like 5 years ago.

But at the same time, the visuals are the EXACT same bleak, grimdark, will-someone-please-turn-on-a-fucking-light we're gotten twice now from MoS and BvS. That's and Snyder doesn't seem to be skimping out of the violence again.

Mix it all together and the trailer reeks of a film that has no consistent tone and that was chopped-up and reassembled countless times during production, which of course we all know was indeed the case.

The only thing Batman fucking does in this is say forced quips and shoot things with lots and lots of guns.

Honestly I can see why Ben is withdrawing from this catastrophe.

Nolan please save us.

Superman being absent in all the promotional material makes me fail to see why BvS even happened.

Kind of weird that in all of this I kind of miss seeing Cavil's Superman. I know that he will show up in the 2nd act to fuck shit up, but I'm just confused as to why they didn't just jump from MoS to JL.

Some of the shit done in BvS could've been done here. Batman looking at clips of JL members on a computer, freaking out over Superman being godlike, and WW's half baked introduction. The more I hear and see of this movie, the more I realize BvS was kind of pointless.

Insulting? By the same token should GRRM reveal all the secrets and turns in his unpublished work? Should magicians reveal all their tricks before the show? I disagree intrinsically with your premises. I want to be surprised on the when and how he comes back. Spoiling that on the first trailer would have been insulting to the imagination of fans.

I imagine that Superman will be brought back as a brainwashed villain that the league must subdue, before having a face turn at the end.

That's actually not a bad way of putting the new heroes over.

For all its convoluted fuckery, BvS at least gives us a reason for a hero (Batman) to go searching for other metas. It's kinda broken as a standalone, but if you squint really hard it kinda works as a preview for what this is.

The Knightmare sequence and Lex's brief convo with the alien should have been given more context, because they will almost certainly have to explain what those meant again.

Please god no. If I never see another "Superman's evil now" story for the rest of my life, it'll be too soon.

You are really making this thread great, and have no agenda, and are expressing your opinion in an incredibly mature way. I personally want to say thank you.

Says you with your moderation of opinions, simply because you can't accept that people can dislike things and feel the way they do about certain things. You say I'm immature and yet here you are wanting the thread to be 100% homogenous in terms of expressing opinions. After seeing MoS and BvS this is how I feel about the direction of JL. You are welcome to disagree but don't act like you're any better with your passive aggressive approach.

yeah gonna pass on this one. gonna be another dull shitfest. ive already seen this universe's Batman and Superman, they utterly suck as characters. they have all the dimensionality of a posable action figure. ditto for Wonder Woman, who seems like "Preparing for battle" is her default pose. i have no interest in any of the side characters either. for me fact the trailers in BvS had the opposite of the desired effect.

it'll still make a ton of money, cos people have to spend their money on something and the next Star Wars isn't out for a while. it'll suck and be incoherent but as long as there is 1 or 2 trailer-ready scenes of Batman doing something cool it will get a free pass.

They spent $250M on BvS (that they admitted to). I doubt Justice League was cheaper.

WB has no problem shelling out the cash for the budget

It can get really out of hand though, like Kong was 180 and Mad Max was (I heard?) like fuckin' 400 because of all the delays and fuckups

Man, what's up with those colors. They really turned the shit color correction all the way up. There's no colors even in the scenes where two people talk in a room. Really jarring.

I'm fine with the fucked up colors, but the slow talking. GTFO with that

Nice trailer and all, but I'll stay highly reserved until proven wrong otherwise. Zack Snyder's trailers are always stylish as hell but the movies themselves don't seem to pan out.

Who knows, maybe 4ths time the charm.
