What game do you think had the worst multiplayer launch?

Battlefield 4 was awful. I got it at launch with my PS4 and couldn't even play the damn game consistently for weeks. Plus there were numerous bugs on the single player content as well which would delete your saved game so nothing was safe.

Also MCC was, and remains, a pile of shit.

For me, I'd say GTAO. I remember not being able to play online till maybe December, and I had the PS3 version.

Gotta be SOCOM. Even though the game wasn't at fault, the length of the PSN outage essentially killed the game's had of gaining any kind of traction.

MCC
Diablo 3 (PC)

Probaby the worse ones for me, I think BF4 was a little over blown, 90% of the times I had no issues, if I got rubber banding I would just switch from American servers to European servers and that would solve it. Been using that technique since bad company 2.

Battlefield 4. The whole game was broken. But their biggest part Conquest was unplayable for weeks if not months. It took DICE something like 6 months to get the game working.

I considered selling my Xbox One at the time because MCC was one of the main reasons I got a X1
Same. Got a X1 for it, sold it maybe 2 months ago. Never buying a Xbox ever again after the MCC fiasco and what ended up being an underwhelming line up of 1st party exclusives.

I got the X1 7/2014 and only had 4 games up until I sold it. No reason to own both a PS4 and X1.

Master Chief Collection. I bought an Xbox One over a PS4 just to play it too, so needless to say I was pretty upset when it finally came out.

SOCOM was sent to die when PSN was hacked and down for like a month. I think Twisted Metal was another casualty of that.

Brink. Didn't it launch at the ApocalyPS3 PSN outage?

I think the hack was just called the PSN hack, I believe APOCALYPS3 was that Leap Year clock bug where no phat PS3s would launch any games for 24 hrs

Gotta be SOCOM. Even though the game wasn't at fault, the length of the PSN outage essentially killed the game's had of gaining any kind of traction.

Yep that was probably the worst, had a week to see the MP was pretty good and worked well before circumstances completely outside the game killed it for a month. I think Portal 2 launched the day it died

Master Chief Collection. The most broken MP game ever released in recent memory. Before that was probably Gears of War 2. But MCC literally stopped any Halo momentum that came from the E3 announcement and how many Xbox Ones MS was starting to sell again. Even as good as H5 is, MCC really did a number.

Nothing beats this for broken at launch, although it's pretty much fixed now and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys racers. The game was designed around multiplayer yet that component was absolutely non-functioning at every level when it released.

Dishonorable mention to Battlefield 4

Twisted Metal (PS3) was a broken pile of shit that took forever to fix, and I just didn't give a damn by the time they finally did.

Battlefield 4 was close but it became one of the best multiplayer experiences ever eventually.

Master Chief Collection was embarrassing considering the pedigree of the brand and the importance of sticking the landing with something like that.

Yeah bf4 .

But socom confrontation destroyed the series
Just remember BF4 lol, that is surely up there judging from the the community at the time.

I didn't play it around launch, but for those that did, how was it compared to The Master Chief Collection?
