Man that Noctropolis game seems real bad. I can't even get through the video it's so boring. It has me missing Phantasmagoria: Puzzle of Flesh. At least that was fun bad.

I wonder if they should do a playdate of an Adventure game they love so Dan's only experience of Adventure games isn't crappy FMV games.

A) I get that mechanics to many people aren't spoilers

B) however I'm increasingly of the opinion "discovery" is much more powerful than "following someone else's story" in some experiences

C) I shouldn't have listened to those nier spoilers even if they were 'just' mechanical spoilers because I spent the entire sequence anticipating it instead of just being in the groove

It varies from game to game. Like, no mechanic in an Uncharted game can be a spoiler, but if I knew that I had to
call out to trico
at the end of the last guardian I would be kind of bummed.

Guys... Mass Effect 2 is still fucking amazing.

Mass Effect 2's story is broken in such fundamental ways that 3 was never going to be able to salvage things satisfactorily.

Someone pointed this out to me a while back: what's the good stuff in ME3? The Genophage stuff and the Quarian/Geth resolution. Plots introduced in ME1

What sucks hardest about ME3 other than the ending? Literally anything involving TIM and Cerberus

SORRY I HAVEN'T DONE THIS IN A WHILE AND IT JUST BUILDS UP LIKE PRESSURE YOU KNOW?

ME2 has the best writing of three games. But it's a Bioware game, you come to it for characters and setting, not the plot. That Bioware decided to do another 180 with Cerberus in ME3 doesn't say anything about ME2 where that plotline largely worked.

And the Quarian/Geth resolution was terrible, though it was mostly built off of (and still clashed horribly with) ME2 anyway.

I know there was some poll or something a few pages back about potential Films and 40's (not sure if it was legitimate or not), but one film series I think would be fun for them to do is National Treasure. Dan hasn't seem them and Alex loves Nicolas Cage. And they are ridiculous movies. I think it would be fun. There's only two of them, so it wouldn't be that long of a thing.

Look this is the beastcrew.

They don't do small scale.

They're going to play through all of the Yakuza series, all of the bomberman series, and they are going to watch every film nicolas cage has ever starred in.

I don't see why everything's got to be a series. One-off movies like Punisher: War Zone and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans would be amazing.

Film & 40s: The Substitute feels like something that needs to happens, but never will.

They should do a F&F watching the terrible UPF for that week. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )

they should do UPF in a vodka tent

Seriously though, John Woo selected films would be a good one for them, if any of them haven't seen them all.

A Better Tomorrow
A Better Tomorrow 2
The Killer
Hard Boiled
Hard Target
Broken Arrow
Face/Off
Mission Impossible 2

I came into KH mostly for the Disney characters since that's what I grew up watching. However, after all this time ever since playing KH back in 2002, the music is the thing that made such a strong impression on me. I mean they basically most of the important tracks and hearing them again brought back many wonderful memories. Also, YES, when Destati came on you could feel the entire room being blown away because it came after Dearly Beloved which is a very calming, bittersweet song.

That bit with Nobou Uematsu sounds amazing haha. Your welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed going through it and yes, I've been listening to the series soundtrack since yesterday. If I didn't have so many other games to play right now, I would totally replay the KH games.

Yea I can definitely agree with that. I remember a friend bringing KH and his PS2 over for a sleepover (only had a Gamecube at the time) and I was instantly sold. Started saving my money and eventually got a PS2 and KH1. The music definitely takes you back :). Yea, that sounds pretty awesome (Dearly Beloved -> Destati)! I would love to replay the KH games but have too much else to play right now (in the middle of Zelda, barely into a Horizon, halfway through DOOM 2016 and want to play TW3 DLC) :(. Getting 1.5/2.5 on PS4 even though theres no way I will play them anytime soon. I played through 1 (platted), CoM and 2 (platted) on the PS3 remasters and that was really fun. Definitely going to have to play BBS next, someday haha.

Just watched Fast & Furious for the first time, with the F&40s. I am really enjoying these, I definitely plan on going back and watching the other F&40s too (only ones I have done are these 4 for fast and furious). Looking forward to watching 5 sometime this week with how much Alex is hyping it up!
