I like the teaser but yeah I'm beginning to feel a fatigue setting in for sci-fi stories taking the Guardians of the Galaxy humour route. Maybe that's just because the new Mass Effect badly missed the mark.

That's just Cayde's character though. He's the only snarky individual in Destiny and I hate him for it, haha.

Still more than any other character so by default he becomes the face of the franchise lol

While I'm interested to see more of the Cabal, I really hope Destiny expands it's universe drastically with Destiny 2. We need more new races and enemies. We need wild life. We need a world that's living, breathing and seemingly endless.

He was, but he had no major parts in the story and he was also a lot more serious (save for a few jokes he'd make if you stood next to his character in the Tower for long enough).

His character got a much bigger story role (as well as a lot more personality) in The Taken King.

He's basically the head leader of the Hunter class. Each class has a leader they report to. If you chose Hunter you mainly get missions from him. He's also the main supporting character in The Taken King.
