Who else is dying to play Crucible in Destiny 2?

I spent close to 900 hours in Destiny within the first year and half and I eventually fell off the wagon but I put about 500 hours or so into the Crucible and I loved every second. Well every second that my guns weren't being nerfed, but it did make me learn other weapons at times...Although i dont miss HC sniping, those guns were ridiculous at one point.

But that aside I play most shooters that come out, rarely is there one that doesn't at least see 15 to 30 hours from me and then games that hook me like BF4, BF1, Titanfall, Battlefront, Destinys Crucible, Doom....all received massive playtime ranging from 30 to 300+ hours.

But the crucible I loved and the biggest reason for me was not only did I love how the battles played out, and the feel and flow of combat, but having a chance at end game to get a rare or good item for IN the other portion of Destiny, is an absolute drug for me. That concept just keeps me trucking, I wish more games had a concept where you have a chance at special guns after a match.. It keeps me personally chasing as long as the combat is fun also.

I know Crucible wasn't everyone's cup of Joe but it hit all the cords for me, i ate it up. So I'm pretty stoked about Destiny 2..

Who knows maybe it'll suck and wont grab me like the original but I really feel it's going to be even better than the first crucible. Really pumped for this fall that's for sure.

Who else really loved the Crucible and how it played out and is really stoked for D2s crucible?

Crucible has been my most played pvp fps since counterstrike I love it despite the lag the cheats and the sometimes baffling nerf decisions. I can't wait for crucible 2 I hope they nail it.

I'm looking forward to how they can improve Crucible. It was good when Destiny first came out, but pretty much every modern shooter (except cod or battlefront) has better PvP.

I'm hoping for permanent, hidden Icarus perk. I love all the aerial movement in Destiny, but hate how guns are useless in the air.

Probably won't happen, but there's still a lot Bungie could do and I'm pretty damn excited

I'll probably ignore it considering my experiences with Destiny 1 PvP. Maybe the worst balanced PvP component of a game I've ever played and being peer-to-peer didn't help either. I did enjoy the Salvage mode though.

Crucible? Nah not really. PVE content? Hell yeah I can't wait for that.

I mean I'm going to play some crucible here and there but it's dependent on how much Bungie evolves what they did with Destiny.

Playing Iron Banner right now - nice reminder of how much I hate PvP in Destiny.

TTK is way too high for my taste.

Hope they have something similar to the "Hardcore Mode" from COD in Destiny 2.

I hated crucible. Worst part of the game by far to me and stayed away as much as possible unless a quest required me for completion's sake. (darn AoT book!)

My biggest hope for crucible is that they balanced guns seperately from crucible and pve. They could even go as far as having seperate stats you can pull up by holding left trigger while your cursor is over the gun.

Edit:

This is what I dont like. Everything feels cheap and like a 1-hit kill. And hardcore is the only mode I play in CoD but it doesnt all feel cheap and out of the gameplay feel of the game.

I enjoyed the time I put in to Destiny PvP (Trials & Crucible) but that game suffers from some of the worst lag in any FPS I've ever played.

If they fix that, I'll be excited. Maybe reduce TTK marginally, too.

Don't like framerate and pace for multiplayer. Don't like the weapon balance. Don't like the supers.

Basically I don't like Destiny PVP.

I will play a bunch of it when the game launches, get a feel for it and go from there... definitely not "dying" for it tho considering how pvp changed throughout the life of destiny 1.

As long as shit changes in comparison with the first game. I've said it a lot of times and I'll say it again, stop with this meta crap, please Bungo.

I won't be playing Destiny 2. In my opinion it was the worst game this gen. I also didn't find the crucible fun either.

That first year and half for me wasn't so bad lag wise, there were 1 or 2 really bad occasions but bungie ironed them out.. But the lag might be worse these days or got a lot worse after I shut it down.

I wouldnt have played as much as I did if it was ultimately a lag fest, some matches and days were definitely not so good but overall I enjoyed the hell out of it.

I love the feel of Bungie FPSers

Not me, can't stand the PvP in Destiny, hoping they make all quest have a PvE solution, so I never have to touch it.

I don't even understand how something so unbalanced was created by Bungie, given they had plenty of multiplayer arena shooter experience coming in.

I was heavily addicted to it and thought it was the most fun MP I played in years until they did something to match making. They changed it to SBMM I think? All I know is I tried to play it after a month break and suddenly this MP I had so much fun with became terribly laggy, nearly unplayable sweaty mess every match. Whatever they did to it, I hope they don't repeat that again with Destiny 2 because I really want to enjoy it again.

I don't trust Bungie's balancing decision with PvP after Destiny. I can't handle another game of gun stats bring tied between PvE and PvP for no reason.
Destiny PvP never got as good as it was on day 1.

Those battles were so good... The spawn system was great in how it kept battles in front of you and rarely did someone come from behind, I loved that.

My sweet Mida Multitool, how I miss thee

After getting to 5 wins with ease, then feeling the fucking sweat in trials.....I can't wait. I'm not a god at PvP but I can holds me own and I'm looking forward to everything Bungie gives us as far as D2. I do worry that they're gonna try some shit tho.

No trials cause the solar system is under attack.
No crucible yet cause we haven't pushed back the darkness.

Crucible was easily my least favorite part of Destiny 1, so no. Complete random clusterfuck. Supers and powers and PvE guns oh my!

I'm keeping an eye on Destiny 1 for improvements to the singeplayer or co-op content, that's it. I just don't trust Bungie to deliver a good PvP experience after Reach and Destiny 1.

Crucible was always my least favorite part of Destiny but I will definitely give it a shot. I haven't played Destiny at all since even before The Dark Below so if D2 takes all of the improvements since then and adds to it, I'll be excited to dive in.

I put a ton of hours into year 1 and had a lot of fun with it despite some of its warts (30FPS, red bar connection opponents). After that the direction they went with some of the new maps, the new supers, and the SBMM really soured me on the game.

I'll most likely pick up Destiny 2 but unless it is 60FPS with a much better connection quality experience (dedicated servers?) I probably will lose interest in it quickly. I also want to see more maps with some freedom to move around and less of the corridor, bottleneck type, close quarters centric, maps. Lastly I'd like the supers to be somewhat less unstoppable so you at least have a chance against them. Something that's a reward to give you an advantage but less of an automatic kill switch or invincible mode. I thought the year 2 Titan and Warlock supers were a bit over the top.

As a big fan of Destiny I have been disappointed with the balance in recent years.

However the current state of PVP is a blast to play! No longer having special ammo after death makes it much more fun. To add to that, current meta and the variety of weapons that are being used is a blast.

TTK should NOT be changed for Destiny 2. It is in a perfect place right now. Battles shouldn't end in a flash like COD, that would defeat the whole purpose of Destiny PVP. The mobility of the PVP currently is a blast, lowering the time to kill would be a big mistake.

Wish list for Destiny 2:
- Keep time to kill the same
- Keep it primary weapon focused with special / heavy being something with set spawns / times
- Dedicated Servers
- 60 fps
- Encourage faster mobility across maps and during battles mixed in with the same time to kill

If they maintain the parity between PvE and Crucibles, I'm done with Destiny 2. I couldn't stand how much Crucibles limited PvE in Destiny 1.

Bungie is very good at making awesome maps and fluid gameplay. I didn't exactly love the Crucible in Destiny but didn't hate it either. It was very fun to play with friends.

Bungie are idiots for not separating PVP and PVE weapon balance. This is a pretty obvious way to ensure you don't fuck up the balance on one side with knee-jerk nerfs that devs seem to be incapable of avoiding sometimes.

I really don't like Destiny PvP. I have good internet, I'm very good at FPS games, yet I consistently have issues making kills due to hits not registering. I don't get this issue in the other pvp games I play.

It's grown worse over time, it used to be manageable in vanilla.

It's also not a very good MP suit in general, not enough customisation options. Not sure about the variety of game modes (which used to be awful) now as I haven't played it in a while.

Also 30fps for a FPS is always clunky.

Yea the ttk is what I loved, a quick way to make me not care or play is make the ttk like fucking shit ass call of duty, if that happens im out and it'd be the easiest thing to walk away from.

Way too many things drain any enjoyment that I could have for this game - axion bolt, the lag, queueing into parties of 6 as a solo player, horribly unbalanced control point placements, and the list goes on. And I'm not even a bad player; I have 199 trials games played with roughly an 87% winrate. I just can't tolerate a game where the developer has 0 regard for game balance.

I have zero interest in crucible. Thought destiny PVP was some of the worst I'd ever seen in a big multiplayer shooter.

No idea why they are doing this - makes no fucking sense to me.

Why doesn´t every gun default into a "standard" gun of that type in PvP?

I will agree with the general chorus that the TTK was fine. It did allow some of the more blatant fuckery to become apparent, but honestly, that's down to them not separating PvE and PvP tuning more than anything else.

Zero interest unless they make big changes (e.g. seperate balancing and more standardized weapons).

Destiny 1 PvP is probably the worst FPS MP I've played by a considerable margin this gen. Aside from the feel of things, it's shocking to me that it's Bungie who was behind it given the Halo games and what the excelled at.

Seriously? I'm playing Crucible right now, and I think it's almost the worst PVP mode of any game I've ever played.

It's a broken mess, and I can't fathom why anyone would play it for anything other than experience and loot.
