Woman Called Fujiko Mine - Completed

Going in, I wasn't actually expecting this to more or less also be the origin stories for most of the main cast. The art direction and sound track was dope as hell and I liked how the second half of the series in a way felt like a character study for how Fujiko became the woman that she is in the present. Was also cool seeing the other character dynamics slowly form, particularly between Lupin and Jigen. One thing that took me off guard though was
Zenigata actually sleeping with Fujiko in his intro episode.
I'm so used to the character being a goof ball in other entries in the franchise that something that...adult, caught me off guard lol. My one complaint is I felt like at times Fujiko felt like a side-character for too much of the series. I still really enjoyed it though.

It's an interesting take on the Lupin lore, but yeah that spoiler part really threw me just because it goes against the core of the characters. Overall it's the weakest of the series.

That makes sense, since the music from Build Fighters and My Hero Academia involved the same composer, Yuki Hayashi. He also did the music for One Piece Film Gold and Kiznaiver recently.

Oh sweet! I need to see what he did for Kiznaiver. I love this guys sound. He and the dude behind Haikyuus OST made some of my favorite anime music in the past couple of years.

You! I like you!

BUT OMG STHAP! The suits are hot ok!

Hey, its the heroes that are inside the suits that count! And theyre pretty cool so far.

That's because he did the Haikyuu OST as well, lol.
His Kiznaiver pieces are more subdued.

Akashic Records of Bastard Magical Instructor Episode 1 – The Unmotivated Bastard

Glenn Radars is hilarious and Im glad this show at least gives male characters lines and such a few of the other magic school teacher shows appeared to place much less importance on them.

He kind of reminds me of Harry Dresden, which I'm all for.

What spring shows you all watching? Any recommendations? I need something to watch on the treadmill...

I'm watching...

Eccentric Family S2
Natsumes Book of Friends S6
Sakura Quest
Saekano S2
Tsuki ga Kirei
Shingeki no Bahamut: Virgin Soul
Re: Creators
Grimoire of Zero
Tsugumomo
WorldEnd: What do you do at the end of the world? Are you busy? Will you save us?

I'm liking Eccentric Family and Natsume most, though I'm also quite liking Tsuki ga Kirei quite a lot.

Persona 5 END

I will be part of the push to make this AOTY. Oh and it totally counts because it has anime in to, fuck you shadow council. If puppets count as anime then anime in video games counts as anime.

Maturity, bitches.
Yeah, but I'm in charge of the AotY awards this year so it's going to come down to the word of the Shadow Dictatorship.

Started watching the only 2 shows from the season that sort of caught my attention

Kado the right answer 0-2
Pretty good so far. I like the style and most characters aside from the scientist girl which really just feels out of place. The whole setup of the plot is really interesting. A bit too early to tell where this will be going with the story but so far I'm liking it a lot
Also, this has to be the better looking CG heavy animes out there, looks bette than most stuff by Polygon Pictures or the horrible Berserk anime.

Re-Creators 1-2

Started watching this just wanting some fun action based show and... so far it's enjoyable.
The characters are pretty generic in design and personality though for once it kinda makes sense within the plot for them to be like that

I'm reading a lot of negative feedback on the second episode of SukaSuka. Should I just not bother watching further? I'm reading a lot of concerning posts lol.

It's not that bad at all really. You're good.

Needless scene/angle shot yes, but nothing to really be scared of, imo.
The rest of the episode is really good.

Fun episode!

It's hilarious that they are just playing Dragon Quest all the time.

Shikadai learned the Joestar family secret technique. Metal Lee is about what you'd expect.

Hmmm gotcha ok. In that case I'll see it for myself. I thought the worst lol.

It's pretty lame pandering, but it's not on a "loli" level...

Nana ep.32
Damn
Takumi
you are impressing me here. Of all the guys, I was not expecting this kind of level-headed compassion coming from you... This is some intense drama right here.

The characters under the male gaze are the 14/15 year olds rather than the kids but that's a small mercy not helped by the clear age gap between them and the MC. I'll still be watching as the writing is holding up, the small kids are really cute, and the MC isn't interested romantically in the older girls. It's just I now know it's going to involve some pandering per episode, as of yet it hasn't overwhelmed the parts I like but ymmv so I'd say give it a shot. I'm hoping it goes for the Gunslinger Girl's "tragic stolen life" angle with regards to the girl's desire for dating/boys/etc rather than developing in other ways but usually if a show is going that way someone would have posted warning spoilers from the LN by now.

I presume Persona 5 will probably get an anime.

P4 got fucking 2 for some damn reason.

It got an OVA that's an adaption of a sidequest. It was okay, though it wasn't about the team and it was basically a big ad.

Not sure, if I want more, I bet they'll suck anyway, so it's pointless.

Finished Blue Exorcist Season 1, the first anime show that I finished an entire season of. I liked it a lot, even though the ending episodes felt super rushed. Left a lot of lingering questions, but waiting till the dub for Season 2 comes out before I start watching that. Any other good shows with decent dubs i can watch in the meantime?

Yeah, I haven't been watching any new anime because I've been dumping 90% of my free time into P5. It's the best kind of anime, interactive. I've kept up with AoT and Boku no Hero though, those are worth it.

Persona 5

I think I just finished the tutorial, my save says I've played for 8:30...

I probably finish this game in real time, beating April in 10 days...

My Hero Academia season 1 is all dubbed and super great. Season 2 is getting its episodes dubbed at the same time they are coming out in Japan.

was watching When Marnie Was There last night and holy shit i couldn't finish it, what a boring ass movie. saw nearly an hour of it and nothing was happening. i refused to give that movie anymore of my time.
It's not a good movie aside from the obligatory production values. The ending is a melodramatic hoot if that interests you.
