I fully support 17 being the second strongest character in the series. He has ties to early Dragon Ball. He was designed to kill Goku and be the ultimate fighter

I want an arc where Goku is in and out (like the Frieza arc) and 17 leads the crew during Goku's times of absence

I don't like the whole angle of Gohan telling Goku not to tell the fighters about the Universe possibly being erased. What purpose does that serve? Are they trying to make it so he gets some heat from the other characters when they figure out? All that should be focused on Goku.

So is Goku just firing weak-ass Kame-Hame-Ha's at everyone to test their strength? You know, that same fireball that should be shattering galaxies or are Krillin and 17 truly almost god's in terms of strength?

We really need consistent power levels

I believe they call it "jobbing" in the wrasslin thread ;p

Ever since a couple days after the episode I just rationalized it to be that Goku didn't shoot a strong Kamehameha. Because obviously he wouldn't want to obliterate Krillin (his "best friend") by launching something at him that he knew he absolutely wouldn't be able to handle at all.

I thought this was his intention while watching the episode.

Is it really that hard to accept that Goku's kamehamehas may not all be planet busters at full force?

If Goku couldn't control himself, he would have split Chi-Chi in doing love making and scattered Krillin across the Earth when he punched him in Episode 16.

They could just show Goku using a generic ki blast if they wanted to show that he's holding back. It's kind of odd to use a technique that focuses his ki in order to increase its power only to focus on limiting the attack's power anyway.

Rule of cool, normal ki blast is boring

But then you can't have a beam struggle. In that case, Krillin would just dodge it and wouldn't really push his strength.

So I'm watching Dragon Ball Z Kai. Gohan's about to go up against Kibito, and the blonde chick from class doesn't think Great Saiyaman is Gohan....didn't she find out and use that as blackmail sometime during the high school arc?

Video blackmailed him, not the blonde girl.
