Wait what?

When Bray got it he was pretty hot. Both the EC and the triple threat were great. People were into Bray... I'd say Orton killed it not Bray.

They had a chance to do something really interesting with Wyatt after Orton burned down the compound but then they fucked it ip and Orton's phoned it in ever since

He only had like 3 matches with the belt total. After he won it, it was like he was never on TV. Out of sight, out of mind.

And honestly, Im not sure how anyone could ever believe in Bray anyway. He never wins big matches. He is always built up and torn down almost immidietely. He simply is not a threat and he will lose to Orton in this shitty house of horrors match too.

I get that they want Jinder to be popular in India, but there are less drastic and storyline-shattering ways to do that than taking him immediately from jobber to world title challenger.

But then again, Vince has never been a patient man.

Lana......Kitana??

Also Aleister Black seems like their new Balor, but built in an even more Triple H way. Can't see any truth in that

Only one wrasslin' Kitana in my book.

I wonder if Neville got his big push because Vince was also amazed at his inability to fail the wellness policy.

Dragon Gate Water cannot be detected by modern science.

She wasn't a "jobber" in the Battle Royal though. She was brought out as a surprise, got a reaction, and was eliminated by one of the biggest women's acts on the show.

Plus, Meltzer has made it known that there won't be unsigned women doing anything significant in this tournament, as they don't want another Ibushi or Sabre situation where people get over then leave.

She's too big a name to throw out and never use again, and if they are using her in the tournament it's because she signed with them.

Like you really think they would have waited all this time to bring her in as a jobber if she was local and available? NXT has shot out of the same place for five years now and Gargano has been there for almost two. They've even done battle royals where they needed bodies before. Why now of all times if it's just random?

Where exactly is she this huge name? Canvas WWE fans, I bet less than 1% have any clue who she is. Has she ever been on TV anywhere? And there were 3 women who mattered in this thing, the rest were just making up the numbers.

As for the timing, I'd say it's almost certainly because of the tournament. And Meltzer's said they won't be giving anyone unsigned pushes in the tournament, not that there won't be anybody unsigned in it.

so am I the only one a little uncomfortable with them using Jinder to push the India contract thingy, assuming they understand he's not THAT great and he actually injured a superstar like a week ago?

They edit the fuck out of RAW/SD for India. Jinder will be in the main, and have cheers piped in every week.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
I mean, I sort of understand why people are mad about Jinder, but at the same time, I don't really see the problem with doing whatever you can to make more guys seem legit instead of total jobbers. It's not like any of the guys in that match were going to beat Randy Orton.

If your argument is that Candice LaRae isn't a huge name to the NXT crowd, then that's a losing argument.

It'd be like if they brought in Adam Cole to be a jobber in a battle royal for an NXT title shot.

Oh no it's transparent and coporate as fuck. Just like everything with this company.

One can only hope Jinder steps up and manages to make something of this. He's gotta know chances like this aren't going to come around often.

From my perspective, it's more that Jinder was a major jobber on Raw.

So it seems dumb for him to suddenly be fighting for the WWE title on Smackdown when in storyline, he wasn't being held back or anything as much as he was just a loser.

Its the same reason anyone in the WWE wins:

Politics

I honestly dont really have a problem with him winning that match, but its shitty that these behind the scenes deals are what triggers story lines these days.

Meltzer also brought up a good point this morning about all this. It's cool that they want to push guys like Primo and Epico and Jinder and renew their characters, but when you do that by having them beat top guys on SD immediately after jobbing on Raw for months, it instantly makes SD look like the weakest show ever. Like even Raw jobbers are better than the top guys on SD.

Primo and Epico are getting a bit a repackage at least. They are also very good workers.

Jinder showed up completely unchanged from his jobber gimmick and is 100 percent unremarkable in the ring.

Agree about Primo and Epico being good in the ring, but damn, that crowd was dead silent during that match on SD. You could literally hear crickets. I dont even think a repackage will save them at this point.

I'm not saying that they don't deserve a push (Primo and Epico especially), but having that push start with beating SD's #2 tag team makes the SD tag division look even weaker than it already did because Raw jobbers are beating the top guys.

Have Primo and Epico squash jobbers for a few weeks to build their credibility back up before having them go over a top team.

AJ was a RAW jobber who won the belt, it's nothing new.

You mean AJ the Raw jobber who beat Cena clean at Summerslam before winning the belt? I can't think of a stronger win before a title win in recent memory actually.
