Classic west coast rap songs have some of the most moronic comments you will ever find on youtube. This past month I was getting back into some underground chicano rap shit and literally every comment was SURRENOS 13 IM GONNA KILL YOU HERE'S MY ADDRESS. Like goddamn I just want to see other recommendations, not get into a prison gang fight.

Comment sections everywhere are nothing but trash.

Been a while since this thread was plastered with #DICKTALK.

Have we finally hit the reboot phase of GAF-Hop? Less insular confrontational edge, more Kendrick stannery, same Kanye rankings.

Okay, Cilvia Demo is really smooth. I can see why one would like it more than Sun's Tirade if it was your first Isaiah album. Noticed him using Slum Village/Dilla samples several times now. Wonder if it's deliberate.

torre, did you listen to the new Swet Shop Boys? Managed to find a limited edition vinyl online.
Not yet, unfortunately :(.

Turntable's back home so i can't listen to it till I go back for the summer. Digital redemption also seems to activate end of June so I might not hear it for a bit.

Me either. There's something about Big Boi's solo stuff's production style that I don't like. Speakerboxxx still dope, though.

Shit, I was hoping to get the digital version asap because our record player is acting up. Guess I'm gonna have to get it fixed next week.

For real though, his debut project was kinda wack, but I'm still curious about his collab project with Metro Boomin.

WHOA

Shouts to des for mentioning that cyrax lone bwoy tape a few pages back. Been liking that a lot recently.

You the homie.

You peep this, it's not mindblowing, but Key part is dope - https://soundcloud.com/retrojace/cruising-ft-key-prod-by-ducko-mcfl

How do people feel about Nav's use of the n-word? I heard a bit of his music after Coachella and the casual use of the word kinda took me by surprise. He's Indian right.

nav looks like the rich kid you only hang out with because he gets all the new games but you and your friends clown him constantly even in his presence.

Very nice.. I don't really know Jace but he had some nice hooks on FRVR.
The hot sugar album made me realize I'm so out of the loop when it comes to electronic. Anyone have any recommendations or lists that might put me on some of the best stuff of the past year or two?.. I'm pretty inexperienced with those genres but some examples of artists I've liked are drip-133, aphex, hot sugar, balam acab, clams casino, clark, jaar.. I'd greatly appreciate any direction here as I find the genre to be pretty overwhelming due to the volume of stuff that comes out each year.

I made a list for Biz a couple pages ago. Let me see if can find.

On this page Dereck, Biz and I list some projects we've enjoyed this year.
