I can't even let myself be angry anymore, skin deep spin is just par for the course. Obama inherited a fucking global recession and regardless there's no way any president could have any reasonable affect on jobs in only 3 months. Note how they give only the one number at 100 days in and not on the first day either

I stopped like 3 episodes in with Trevor Noah. It hurt too much.

Yeah, Noah isn't great but the correspondent pieces are still really good. It's too bad the cohesion is gone, and the end product is no where near as impactful or focused, but there's still value there.

Edit: I didn't mean to suggest that Noah isn't funny, he is, but his show just doesn't have the some driven intent it had, and I really miss that.

I think Trump may have had the last laugh here. Without being present, the jokes felt like cheap shots. Like talking shit about a bully when he's not in the room.

His MSNBC part was spot on. Hell, his whole set was spot on.

Yeah, real cowardly to not invite him.

Oh wait.
It has nothing to do with cowardice or freedom of speech. None of those jokes were funnier because of his absence. The audience had no way to gauge their reaction without him. Usually you'll see the President and he will either be laughing or maybe squirming a little. Consequently it mostly fell flat.

HE CHOSE NOT TO SHOW UP

He got off easy. Should have roasted the hell out of him. Luckily for him the press has some tact.

Trump on the other hand spent an hour bashing the media.

I'll tell you guys this, I've known Hasan for years. One of the nicest and genuine guys I've ever met. So proud and happy to see him doing big things. Absolutely loved his set.

Trump's worthless bitchass didn't show up, so oh god damn well.

Besides, I'm quite sure he'll go on a patented twitter rant to cry about everyone that made fun of him at the dinner.

The night is young, I'd be surprised if we don't get a reaction by dawn. Not only that, but he ran scared, so that's sorta reinforces that he's thin skinned and humorless. I don't think his predictable reactions being absent diminishes the set.

Trump will always get the last laugh now. Because we'll all be dead while he's still in a bunker somewhere.

He's got a bright career ahead of him. I hope he gets his own show or a big gig somewhere.

Him not showing up was exactly the point and helped Hasan tie it altogether into something serious. Besides it wasnt a Trump roast. If anything the media got it harder than Trump.

Spin factor to the max, but all that says to me is it's always Democrats coming in and picking up a Republican presidents mess.

Anyone with half an inkling of sense would see that Obama and Clinton did a hellova good job, and Bush did a shit one. Of course these are Republicans we're talking about. Don't think they even have a quarter of a brain cell.

Wonder how Trump will turn out...

....I'm so tired.

I am sure his supporters will interpret this as him turning the economy around, even though Obama and Crew spent the last 8 years bringing us back from one of the Biglyest recessions in US history.

"Hurr Durr the Dow topped 20,000 in Trump's first 10 days!!!" ...Hur. Durr. ...It was kinda pretty darn close to there to begin with...thanks to the Obama administration. ...Morons.
