Hey, Sean here with CNET. I can't say for sure what the final peripheral includes, but as of last E3, it was going to have both additional motion sensors and greatly reduced latency compared to PS Move / Sharpshooter combo. That's according to Farpoint studio head Seth Luisi, who I spoke to there. And playing it, I can attest it felt way the heck better. Night and day compared to Killzone 3 with Sharpshooter -- none of that "I'm swinging vaguely the direction I'd like to fire" BS, just point and shoot.
The big limitation, like Move, is you can't expect it to keep tracking if you turn around. The camera needs to see that light-up ball.
I wrote a thing about it: https://www.cnet.com/products/sony-ps-vr-aim-controller/
Sounds great. Does it drift?
Guys, calm down, the Aim controller is nothing more than a Move shaped like a futuristic rifle, and with the same accuracy.
Is very confortable and the weight is right, but the tracking system still flawed as usual.
P.s.
I have one in my house
Does it drift? Doesn't look like it in any of the presentations.
