Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

The changes for Alex help him, but he's still going to struggle. Some of the players are feeling better about him after the patch, but we'll see.

In other news, my internet FINALLY got fixed.Taking something Gootecks says seriously in 2017.

Don't worry, they won't.

Didn't you hear? They have 8frames of lag in SFV. Can't react to anything.

Is this the new pad vs stick discussion?

Which segways into shilling hitboxes.

What happened to his Asus G11 with an Intel I7 processor?

Tbf the 6.5f input lag fucked me over more than it should in the first cfn beta that it drop me down to Super Gold.

Pretty sure Ryce put those together.

I saw someone on Twitter tweeting those at Bornfree so maybe that random dude made them. Saw the tweet a little while ago so it's from the last couple hours. As soon I saw how messy they are I knew they weren't Ryce's silhouettes.

Juri's medium DP is sooo good.

I like how the music actually switches up between fights now in the beta (if you set it to random).

Like, in a first to 3, the music shuffles between p1 theme, p2 theme, and stage theme for all 3 fights. Should help tourney streams be a bit more varied, when people keep picking training stage over and over, even though they aren't supposed to. At least we'll get different music for each fight.

Also ensures a greater chance of hearing Rashid and Ed's themes on stream...

Finished the Injustice 2 story mode. shit was amazing brehs

so much content even on day -3 and shit I said wow
It's very sad that 100$ for the Ultimate Edition in Injustice 2, and 85$ in Tekken 7 for the Deluxe Edition, will lead to more characters, better single player content, a more robust online and a LOT more customization options than 120$ for SFV and it's 2 season passes.

Are you on PS4 or on PC?
If you are on PC, then try validating the cache.
You might also have to add an exception to your anti-virus program for the SFV beta.

My anti-virus was causing the issue. Adding it as an exception did the trick.

Thanks.

I think I'm permanently done with this game after combo breaker. It just isnt fun.

I would upload replays so I can show you guys my issues, but I don't know how on PC.

I shit on NRS games as much as the next man but with that said the shit was still great tbh

My wife asked to see a video of the game, and immediately she said "Wow this looks so much better than I thought - we need to get this!" - she doesn't care about fighting games one bit. Capcom needs to get its shit together.

To be fair I only bought the base game (£40) and bought the rest of my characters for *free* with Fight Money - something of which neither of those games do. I do wish they give us more ways to gain and spend FM in the future as I think it's a great concept.

NRS games have cool sp stuff y'all crazy.

Tekken as well.

But Gundam and SFV are what I'm all about at the end of the day.

In fact see me in gundam.

SFVis stressful as fuck but advancement will be a problem in fighting games across the board. What's your CFN name? I'll try to look through your replays later if you'd like. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Everyone here is willing to assist!

I've played Ed's all day, haha. Good for match-up experience I guess.

Netcode has been the same to me. But I'm pretty sure my connection is the problem. Very few really good matches. Most all are borderline. I hate Cox Internet.

The first Injustice game never clicked with me, and I actually love MK. It didn't help that it's the ugliest game I have played, or at least it's close. Still, I2 looks much better and I'd love giving it a try on PC ;(

I'll be busy with SFV 2.5, KOF14 PC, and Tekken 7, though!

Ima rent IJ2 to play the story mode and probably buy it when it's cheap game of year edition sale to have in my FG collection next year.

I'll never pay full price for those NRS animations ;)

Alex is so fun in the beta.

He was already fun, but safe elbow is REALLY fun to use.

Also, thanks to that 2 frame faster st.mp: https://twitter.com/PieceDigital/status/863579590467432448

SF has never been a WOW LOOK AT THAT type of casual attraction. That's all NRS.
SF's attraction has always been the gameplay, something that isn't going to elicit that kind of response.

I would pay more to take customization out of tekken.

Injustice looks better for the pure fact that the characters are more recognizable than SF characters as a whole. Also the art style is less goofy and cartoony.

- Robust tutorial mode including tutorials for each character that isn't just do 10 simple combos
- In game frame data
- Ability to turn on or off negative edge
- Everything people wanted from alt intro's between characters or different dialogue when characters are going against each other. Only thing we got in SFV is the win screen text lol
- On top of daily challenges, they have an extra battle (maybe not since it doesn't exist lmao) type mode that adds to extra single player content
- Character customization with gear.. I wouldn't necessarily want it in competitive play but it does add a lot of extra content to the game. All the types of customization you would want in SFV with changing colours and etc you can do here. Pretty much has lootboxes too, im not a fan of it per say in a competitive sense but outside of that it's cool. Would I want lootboxes in SFV? If to just customize what a character looks like yea, I wouldn't want it changing health or attack damage etc.. gems was already a failed experiment at that. with that said they basically put a mini destiny in here
- Guilds to make online feel more robust
- Tournament settings where you can disable certain stages from being chosen (would help save time from getting Kanzuki beach and Rashid's stage), change other options if you want to as well. Idk why Capcom doesn't have anything like this yet lol they're so behind, I know they're adding something new with the CFN but I think it's only for ranked in disabled stages
- Online settings to show ping. There's another option to turn on/off Offline Input Delay but I'm not sure exactly what it does lol
- Offline tournament mode
- Levelling up characters actually feels rewarding because you can add more gear to that character when you level up. SFV character levelling up is borderline useless because the only positive you get out of it is 5 extra colours max lol
- oh yea this game also has DEFENSIVE OPTIONS something that SFV has been missing lmao
- Online training mode

Haven't got a chance to test the netcode out yet but I'm gonna try later today

yea the game really does look amazing. throughout the fights and the story mode. some ugly faces but nothing as bad as Injustice 1 or Ken's face lmao
Those animations though.

yea the NRS Jank™ is still present.

No frame data in game is one of the dumbest things in this game. One thing I really appreciated when I was playing MKX.

Wasn't Capcom's reasoning for that something akin to "we wanted to foster the sense of communal learning by omitting it"? I mean it would just be easier and less insulting to just say nah we don't wanna.

FG devs pls

They did that in MKX too, though IIRC a lot of it was just wrong.
Killer Instinct does the same, and includes a description of each move, which helps when you are looking up stuff for a character you don't play. It really should be the standard.

KI has both frame data and the ability to toggle hit/hurt boxes on and off. It's amazing.

CFN is Skab__

Replays might be hit and miss. You should be able to visibly tell when I'm on tilt and just doing dumb shit even when I shouldnt.

Frame data, a hitbox viewer, and rollback netcode as standard everywhere, please.

I can't even make fun of NRS graphics while saying Capcom games look prettier! Half of the SFV characters look hideous!

That and a hitbox viewer. Capcom PR might have convinced a lot of people that SFV is designed for the competitive community, but it's really just cheap and lacking in features.

I wish Microsoft would stop trying to create their own internal system for PC gaming. I would buy Killer Instinct for $60 on Steam right now.
