Castlevania Legends was the first for a while but it got decanonized due to it strongly hinting that Sonia and Alucard banged and made the Belmont line.

I don't think that's true. I'm a fan of both timelines, and it looks more like the storyline of 3 and the art style of the later "Iga-style" games, but Americanized slightly. The only similarities that appear with Lords of Shadow are Scottish accents.
