Are Elephant in the Room and Cylinder still planned?
Or are they dead most likely?

These are Mighty Rabbit titles that were "confirmed" on their forum long, long ago.

They never said which platforms though, did they?

No, though I assumed they were PS4/Vita.

Good news the interview was great it was nice to finally talk to Josh sorta in persona. Besides that they also confirmed to me that Mighty Rabbit is working on bringing Elephant in the Room and Cylinder (with a different name) to more platformes digitally/physically. I for one can't wait for a decent puzzle game for the vita!

Nope and it is getting ridiculous. We should either get a slight discount or added bonus.

Everything else is getting released. I think this game got a touch of the Vireland in it and them delays are being worked on specifically for Mike Z.

But seriously. I paid for this in October? And they said January/Feburary was the release date? It's turning to June now.

Why? It's not like it isn't coming and delays are nothing new.

If anyone deserves something, it's us Mighty No 9 backers :(

Delays happen but they have been sitting on our money a long time. This was not just pre-order where they charge once they shipped, they got paid. They should deliver when they promised and if they cant there should be some incentive for waiting all these months.

Sounds like every Kickstarter I've put money towards. Things take time, things happen.

Keep giving them excuses.

Have you worked in a business that creates and manufactures or even programs? I do. Things come up. "Excuses" as you call it. Sometimes manufacturing companies suck and screw things up (The Silver Case). So unless you want to give people a broken product for the money you paid, why not just wait?

Keep giving them excuses.

Who needs excuses? You knew it was a pre-paid pre-order. Preorders are not immune to delays. You will get what you paid for. You're not owed more than that. It's not like thay haven't been transparent. If you don't have the patience for it, don't pre-order next time something like this comes around.

My Volume copy must've become dust at this point.

That's the frustrating thing for me, I've had quite a few deliveries since ordering Skullgirls but Volume is still being held up because I ordered with a game which right now we're not sure on when it's even going to be released. I don't mind waiting for Skullgirls, I understand it's not entirely the fault of LRG since they thought it would be available sooner and were let down but I would have thought getting Volume sent out to those still waiting on it would have happened after the delay.

Did anyone that ordered the PS4 version of Strafe get a shipping confirmation yet? Thought SRG was shipping them out yesterday.

I'll tweet a different selection from several japanese publishers and developers that Limited Run Games can localize everyday. Since Yian mentioned Luminous Arc Infinity, here are the Marvelous titles LRG could bring to the West:

They are getting into the localization business? Pretty cool but they will need more than 1000-2000 copies to break even.

Luckily, their very first PS4/Vita japanese run sold 10k physical copies. Companies like NISA and Aksys don't sell a whole lot more than that and they have to resort to retailers, LRG has a direct channel with consumers.

Pretty nice guy (apart from the blue shadows thing...)

Net High looks sooo good. I was surprised it hasn't been localised.

Xseed talked about this in an interview a while back

https://www.gog.com/news/xseed_interview_bringing_japanese_games_to_the_west

I would say cultural issues as they pertain to text are still a major challenge, though to varying degrees for each project. As a recent example, our parent company Marvelous put out a game called NetHigh for Vita in Japan not too long ago where the gameplay focused on solving puzzles a la the Ace Attorney games, but instead of solving cases in a courtroom you’re trying to reveal the true identity of people on the internet. Our hopes of being able to localize it were quickly dashed once we realized that most of the puzzles were based on Japanese puns and wordplay using written kanji characters which often have multiple meanings. Seeing that it also had a lot of text displaying from top to bottom rather than our way of reading from left to right sealed its fate of definitely not coming to the West.

Then a lot of people mentioned several games that had text like that that were still localized. And "hard" games to localize that were still localized. Those are just poor excuses.

I guess it would just mean that the localisation budget would have to be higher to appropriate the jokes and puns into the English language, even if some of those sections had a complete re-working with different names and such, I wouldn't mind. That's what localisation is.

Lab Zero sure hasn't been.

It's a long way from March 7th. Delays are irksome, but I get it. The lack of communication, not so much. I don't fault LRG for that; their tweets make it sound like they're waiting for an update from Lab Zero as well. I'm not out for blood or anything, but yeah, any sort of status update is long overdue at this point.

Making another pallate swap for their fighting game. Gotta believe the hype. Misses Cerebello and her Russian grab is incoming.

I want to apologize for the silence on the LRG release of Skullgirls. It's been a tense and frustrating situation for us, as well.

We're working on an formal update now, but the short version is that we had to do additional bug fixing to appease an international partner, and all releases need to be synced for online compatibility.

We finally negotiated an end to the delays, but also worked on fixing the code so that all of the international versions no longer had to be in lockstep with one another.

The final PS4 and PS Vita patches will be hitting shortly, and then they'll go into production.

I'm looking forward to the final definitive version. When I first heard about this delay, I KNEW I'd be waiting a long time for the LRG release. I prepared myself for it. I know some aren't happy about how the situation turned out, but that applies to both sides. I'm sure Lab Zero and yourself have done everything within your power to hasten the process, while delivering a product you can be proud of. Now we wait on Sony to give the green light.

Anyway, thanks for always being transparent about the progress of this project Ravidrath.

Thanks for the answer. Just wondering where everything went since it's been months since an update. I honestly don't even play skullgirls. Some of my friends do. But I do believe helping the little guy and buying the game since it had an instruction manual and cd soundtrack and I do believe that a full release that doesn't look like shit is an admirable goal and should be supported..

Looking forward to opening the game and giving it some use. Wait. Do I even open it if I have the game on my system? I really want to see the manual, but I don't know if it's worth opening to peer into it. Is the soundtrack inside of the case, or is it separate like The King of Soundtracks?

Every time I do a pre order, I expect to be in the long run. Not a lot of people take delays into consideration and automatically assume it'll come out the day it's supposed to be. But so many things can go wrong in that time span, whether that be new bugs, quality control, manufacturing delays, commands from upper management, etc.

Not gonna lie and say I haven't got impatient during the wait (harder cause my Volume is in the same order), but at the end of the day I'd rather have the game fully patched and complete on the disc. I wish the LRG release of Shadow Warrior 2 would get pushed back to have the patch on disc, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

Ok good, I can breathe a little easier now lol.

Skullgirls was my first purchase from LRG, but I've read a lot of posts in this thread and its seems to be the outlier on how they conduct business, so I'll continue to buy games from them that I want. (Seriously, can't wait until Night Trap is available for order).

I messaged Doug on Twitter about Elephant and he said:

Elephant was never vita and was cancelled

My Volume copy must've become dust at this point.

My biggest disappointment about this situation. I'm quite keen to play Volume.

Seriously, why do people request IA/VT Colorful? It's completely playable in Japanese. Not to mention that Marvelous has stated before that it will never be released outside of Japan due to licensing issues.
