My question wasn't "what if GT happened". You're concern of age is irrelevant.

Your*

I simply assumed you were referring to a similar situation to GT.

The reason being that Pilaf and his gang are not enemies of Goku anymore, therefore it was really dumb to assume they'd try to harm him in any way.

No I'm definitely not going to refrain from bringing up anything from which a GT connection can be drawn just because some people find it "in bad taste" to do so... Lol.

Alright. Sounds fair. But please, oh please, don't only provide shit hypothesis again just out of spite, I'd like to read interesting ones too !

it's a good time to be a Mai fan :3

gets the most plot development of any female in Super so far

As of now you can easily bullshit GT into the story especially since we don't know what the outcome will be from this current arc. Anything can really happen. Time gets reset, GoD's die or U7 is the only remaining universe. One thing that makes sense is that base Goku in GT is strong AF....I guess we know why.

The only possible way to destroy GT is for them to go into the time it takes place. Otherwise it will be obvious that Toei doesn't want anything contradicting it. I personally think that we will get there either in the next arc or a follow up series.

GT is not that popular and Super has been a successful relaunch. Reseting time would be a great way to piss off fans.
Bullshitting GT and Super into working together would only limit what they can do with new stories, which wouldn't be beneficial to anyone. They're digging in for the long haul, they don't need to force GT into working with Super.
Besides, the Super 17 arc alone make GT and Super completely incompatible.
There is zero benefit to Toei, Bandai and Shueisha from jamming Super and GT into the same continuity, while there is a huge benefit to all of them by keeping it separate from Super because they can do anything.

I wonder if they'll reveal that Kale doesn't really go LSSJ, but actually goes USSJ. It's something I can see Toei doing just to mess with the fans. Like "Remember how dumb Trunks was back then? Yes, the supposed Broly-equivalent is actually just as dumb!"

I think that's the only time I suggested something so related to GT in any of these DBS threads so far anyway. The only reason I thought of it was because I randomly came across the GT clip of a kidnapper calling Vegeta and threatening Kid Goku's life for a ransom (thinking it's his grandson or something)

But to get it out now, I did also start thinking what if Super dealt with the "consequences of using too many wishes" in a different way than GT did, and had that as a plot point for something. I always liked that idea even though the actual arc around it in GT didn't live up.

It's got that green tint, tho!

Although I guess
Buu is in the opening, too.

So I only got to the first episode with Baby so far, but what I think they should take from GT:

Adult Trunks wearing a suit and glasses
Pan's personality from the first episode
General Rilldo's powers
Moustache Vegeta
Animation

A Pretty Panda

fuckin' called it, man

Yeah it's not a bad idea. It's also something Old Kai mentioned in the manga so it's not like it was out of nowhere.

I'd say that was a possibility...if she didn't grow like 2.5 feet taller.

How would you guys react if shortly after Super got to "EoZ" Goku gets wished into a child by Pilaf
Without bringing GT into it, I think Pilaf doing it would be stupid. In GT it made sense, because it wasn't an intentional wish. It wouldn't work as well in Super, for me anyway.

I think it'd make more sense with maybe Frieza, thinking it'd make Goku easier to fight, but I don't know how I'd feel about it if it happened.

Well unless Android 17 dies, than there is no reason to believe that the Super 17 arc can't be BS'd into the story. He's still a park ranger and strong enough to beat present Trunks. Otherwise I do agree that they would be dumb to not move to story forward to GT time.

Super has had some GT easter eggs, so at the VERY least they've had GT in their thoughts.

I'm doubtful that they'll do GT after EoZ in Super, but I think it's possible they'll pull more and more little things over time. Possibly even doing a storyline or an important character for a future arc heavily influenced by concepts in GT.

Ultimately the best choice would be to come out with an official DBH anime where they can do the most insane stupid crazy shit from all places in the DB extended universe

Hell in the Super 17 arc is completely different than Super.
Also time resetting wouldn't get rid of Freeza coming back and becoming Golden.

The closest thing to a GT easter egg is one of the Gods of Destruction looking kinda similar to Luud, and that GoD was designed by Toyotaro.

Now that we have new content, a Heroes anime wouldn't be for the best because they can just keep getting new stuff from the main series

I think Super revived 17 specifically so that the term "Super 17" would become ambiguous, thus destroying the possibility of even conversing about Super 17 by overriding the conversations with Super!17.

Next they're going to have Shenron wish to turn Vegeta into a baby so it's not clear whether you're talking about Baby Vegeta or baby Vegeta.

We'll also learn that they made a wish for Goten to never age, so when we talk about Kid Goku, it's associated with Goten.

Because people want a series with just fighting and no character development.

I'm gonna be honest, when I use to watch DBZ as a kid this was all I cared about, now for me the fights are absolutely the worst part of DB. I've around not really liking DBZ at all, the few episodes of Super I have watched are the slice of life one (like Vegeta's family stuff, the baseball ep, etc) because I still like the characters, just not everything else that accompanies them lol. That said the multiverse universe stuff is by far one of the most interesting things they have done with DB.

GT can't fit in so many ways that you can't BS into it. The most standout example is that hell in Super looks like nothing the hell in GT. And how is there a planet with people stronger than Majin Buu that no one knows about? That's not even getting to the giant plot hole that the Black Star Dragon Balls are.

The Black Star Dragonballs were a plothole ever since GT was created though, that has nothing to do with Super. Still, Super won't lead to GT because the only way that works is basically denying Super itself (removing everything added by Super), and that's just stupid.

Besides, Toriyama is still the one making the outline and he'd never bother matching up with GT when he still doesn't seem to care about Z filler.
